I did mostly yeah, the nozzle I had was huge hence the slug of silicone but it ain't too bad. I know its a little excessive.
Just done the same as my last two really and they have been good...... touch wood. Saturday will tell though but its not a big issue for me to reseal the cam cover if...
Yeah its surprising, that's only circa 30 hrs spent on this thing from start to finish, I probably spent 150 on my race car cage and shell prep alone and then all the mechanicals, electrical and paint . That's nuts.
Come away now, its not going to have factory specs after a hunter alignment is it.
Yeah it is, the owners a rally nut so he rents us all his sheds and land to play with our toys.
Ahh okay, a selection of pry bars, punches, dolly's, vice grips and a hammer. Once you get it peeled of the floor you can start shaping it with the punches and vice grips.
Yuup, I wanted to do the cam cover a different colour from the orange I usually do. Looks like John Deere green lol, I...
Not anymore than it was before I bought this thing :(
It seems alright to me but I'm not the best judge being colour blind lol, also it was only in the engine bay. If it was on a flat panel it would be a better test. I am happy with the cans and how they atomised though so its not cheap...
Your becoming a pro with the tools eh Sonny :)
Are you putting a some more contrasting white on there? its looking really smart now. Maybe side strips white.
I'm not sure maybe a milk float? I'll look today.
We have all sorts of weird things up there, to name a few we have a rally stage that we can use, rally school, rover p100's, Metro 6r4, z-cars, original r5 turbos, countless group n evo's, group a and b cossie's and novas, quatro, Suzuki...
I had a few more hours down at the car tonight. Got most of it done, just the fluids, set the raw values on the TPS, bleed the brakes and tidy up the wiring (I ran out of cable ties) oh and fit the breather tank which should be here tomorrow.
All fixings and seals replaced
Valve train...
Yeah its handy cheers. What seal do you mean?
I HATE wiring & plumbing things that's all, it will be going this year.
Sold to the man with the car collection.
Cheers Steve.
Steve's turbo definitely :p
Gaz its nothing that's cost me of any real money, just some of my time and it will still up the value of the standard car when it goes for sale, I usually make money on all my cars as I have OCD and the means to fix things cheap.
I don't drive cars...
Crisis averted..... I pulled the TPS sensor wiring the other night and my search for a new one brought up nothing that could be with me by Friday. I called K-Tec for a breakout of their adapter loom and Sean was as helpful as ever to answer technical questions and also spoke to Jenvey and was...
Mick@mpm is your man after you try the TB as he has seen a lot of common faults. My guess is the wrong information is being sent or received from the pedal.
I can't remember for sure but if you look at the trapezium shape on the cover you can then match it up to the trapezium shape on the chassis leg.
I think its the drivers side though. Give it a try.
You see where there is a trapezium shaped piece that comes down off the chassis leg and the the subframe bolts to it. The cover goes there with the while in the cover lining up with the hole in the chassis leg.
Its held on by just clamping around the edges of the sheet metal.
If that's your...
I bet it sounded fruity.
Yeah I meant the temp sensor that was a typo, they don't have a temp switch. The sensor is screwed into the thermostat housing on the gearbox side of the engine.
Car looks good, what was wrong with the exhaust. That strainer tailpipe look is in this season ;)
Your rev issue is the temp switch, get that replaced and it will be sorted. If your not able to do the belts yourself then SWR are not far from you and there prices are brilliant from what I have...
I may be Scottish but I'm not a total pikey lol.
It has some nice shiny suspension bits and bobs too. It would have been a nice car with a hard top and I'm not an s2000 fan. Matt black FTW.
I would say, I crashed my first car a Honda civic head on into a lamppost and it stood up really well, the lamppost came halfway up the bonnet yet I was fine. They are strong motors.
Its been pretty stripped and will be someone's waiting to be scrapped or for a transplant.
