It was snowing the night before and still icy in some places on the track so when they let us out it was still silly cold lol I left them at 28 (cold) as I thought it would take a lilttle longer for them to get some heat in, did 2 sighting laps and mid way through the 2nd lap it felt all wrong...
I can fit my hands down in between slam panel and inlet just don't try and do it mid track day lol I got my hand stuck and it was HOT haha not had any problems other than that checking my oil and I thought it was gonna be a nightmare to check.
I'm almost the same as Mark, Ran RC6 which the dust was terrible mine lasted about 8 track days although I managed to run both my sets down to the bare minimum left on them I didn't get any crumbling, but fancied a change so tried the DS1.11 first outing in them at Donnington Park a few weeks...
I just come from RC6 to DS1.11 and the ONLY thing I prefer about the CL RC6 is no bedding in lol just chuck them in and go, DS1.11 have to be bedded in which can be a pain for me as I don't like doing it on the sighting laps. Other than that I will probably buy DS1.11 again next time.
Was just wondering what tyre Pressures people run with 888's at the Ring I'm not sure if to start off like I would do at a normal track day and get them up to temp and 30psi all round or if they will get hot enough to raise the pressure that way, I know alot will depend on conditions but with it...
@eon172 The minnow would probably be the one you would risk being over weight with but on a stripped out track car I cant see a problem with it, think the Minnow-Max would be your better choice and yes they do tend to hold money that was also another reason we went for the larger A-max as it...
Mines a A-Max and have plenty of room with the clio, We only bought a bigger trailer as If we change car in the future or have to move a bigger car we could.. I would'nt have a problem buying a small single axle trailer for a clio (or similar sized car) as long as the weights are legal and I had...
Same trailer by the looks of it as us but we have the crew cab trafic which pulls well and like said even with the crew has plenty of room, just if I ever wanted to tow anything heavy probably couldn't with the trafic.
As above lol my mate has an R26 fully stripped and full cage plastic windows etc (about 250hp with map) and I can't keep up with him at Oulton, And he's just booked it in for a RS250 Turbo, 630cc Injectors, Remap.
We use my dad's Reanult Trafic crew cab van and I was suprised at the weight these can tow only 2000kg on a braked trailer, even though the Clio is fine on the trailer as combined weight is about 1700kg (thats without tyres on my tyre rack) I did take it work and put it on the weighbridge with...
I had these on but the nuts off my stud kit don't fit in the holes so I can't tighten them up unfortunately... as they were a good wheel and feel pretty light if not lighter than the OZ F1 that have replaced them.
Some BK racing multi fit.
Brembo HC disc's / DS1.11 (which I buy from George) but I haven't ran with the DS1.11 yet as I was using CL RC6 which were great, just fancied a change and to try something else only thing I found was the DS1.11 need getting hot hot hot to bed them in (gradually building up heat and then leave...
Demon tweeks have got some (1 set left I think) Pro Race 3 for £300 just waiting for a reply about the bore size.. 4x100 and ET35 so thats fine. Just need to find £300.
Once I have saved some pennies up I'm looking at some new wheel's, Pro Race 1.2 or 3 and I'm debating on getting 2 set's of either of these two wheels and selling my scruffy (brake dust and poor powdercoat) 2118's or getting another set of 2118's and having them both refurbished (satin/matt...
Think I paid about £45 a tyre for PS3 in 195/50/15 from My Tyres or Tyreleader last year though. Currently on my 2118's and have done a few track days on them. I'm currently debating on some more track wheels. Either another set of 2118 because they are strong (even if they are a little heavy...
My mate has just bought a R26 2007 with about 60k miles (mk2) and he loves it only had a remap but fully stripped/poly windows/buckets and caged and it's quick lol paid about 7k for it.
I had loads of fun on my Michelin PS3 at Oulton last week, Only because I was having an issue with the wheels with my 888's on not fitting with my stud kit, but was still a laugh with the PS3 and for £40 a tyre (195-50-15) they are cheap enough to replace it you kill a set, I was using them as a...
Well I have recently swapped to a PMS stud/nut over bolts and was fine with my Speedline 2118's untill last week at Oulton and the weather was lovely I thought I would swap to my 888's on my spare set of wheels so took the wheels off on one side and offered up the wheel with the 888's on (it's a...
I run the Brembo HC disc's and never had any problems and rate them especially for the price lol I could buy 4 sets of disc's for the price of my pads, I was running Carbon Lorraine RC6 but have just swapped (as I just wanted to try something else) to Ferrodo DS1.11 thanks to @George@RTR_Parts
Hopefully hear back from you with a good write up... Looking forward to hearing good things abouth them before I purchase BUT might take the risk and just order a set.
