I don't get any rubbing on my BC but has just started bottoming out a little at Oulton last week. On shell oil hairpin but never done it before I had the PMS top mounts and brace fitted and ran 888 for the first time. Didn't get it with the Michelin PS3.
More and more I use my Clio the more and more I like them lol (even if its a track hack) I regret not buying a nice v6, might be on the cards for the next car lol if I can find one and not have to remortgage the house.
When I was having some tuition at Oulton park with an Instructor (apparently raced clio's) he said my front was too soft and he asked if I had a uprated front anti roll bar after saying no he said go up a few clicks on the damping see if it help's. I'm not really clued up on setting up a car for...
Went for some Brembo HC and the OEM spec Brembo pads saves my RC6 for the track and hopefully won't have any sqeaul when I'm stopping lol. Only thing I did when putting pads on was pop those butterfly things off the back of the pad (seen this done a few times not sure why but was in sheep mode...
Nice tidy up, shame about the damper been the wrong one would have sent me over the edge and I would have been back there like a lunatic lol (the week I've had though haha)
That's what I was thinking of @Daniel if the DIY option wasn't going too be a)simple enough and b)cost effective Who's bbest too use for postage and is it just chuck them on a pallet and send (obviously I would ring them first lol)
They are heavily coated in brake dust so and it doesn't wash off or scrub clean (I've tried lol) so depends if they can be sanded and painted over if it will react with the brake dust.
Chucked some OEM brembo pads in to save the CL RC6 I have for track and to help with the nipping too the shops because the RC6 squeal like a MoFo. And took my ITG Maxogen too bits to clean the filter, left it on the workbench in my shed too dry as it was still damp after 2 hours lol hopefully be...
Lovely car, Although i was reading somewhere the other day that the wing back style buckets are not allowed on the ring (how true I'm not sure), might just be on TF days and might be fine if its a track day your doing. Might be worth checking saves you any hassle when you get there. But looks...
As title really how do I remove the powder coat from my 2118's that I STUPIDLY had powder coated white for my track car (I know, I know lol) they are looking VERY sorry for themselves now so I thought why not just try a DIY refurb and if they look crap well I can run them for another year and...
Would also be interested in knowing what springs would be best for my 172 (track car) if i need to order some, would the above same as Trackslag172 going for a 8kg front and 11kg rear be the better option?, I'm hopefully going to try and find out what rate the springs are on mine on Monday when...
Just read this on the BC website with regards to ride height with the BC, Not sure if too low though and it'll just be the bumper/bodywork hitting the ground lol I know I don't want it silly low for track anyway.
'Because ride height is determined by an adjustable bottom mount rather than...
I like the look of the Trophy you will have to throw some pictures up, Did you go the Renault garage on the Hill next to the Glass Horse pub? (noticed your Avatar says St Helens)
Cheers for the Info Steven, @bloke is the pre-load set on the top collar on the BC's? I'm assuming the dials on top of the coil over that come through the top mounts is the damping? Might have a look when I call over on Monday if you don't mind.
My BC's were already fitted too the car when I bought it @Steven103 so not sure on the packers. I have had a look round to see if anything was loose and didn't notice anything.
