Did Oulton on Tuesday and going round Shell Oil hairpin if I was 'keeping with the flow of traffic' so to speak I had a clunk noise from my front passenger side about half way round the bend (seems there is a little bump or uneven surface there) now I was wondering what I could do to help the...
Hmm tempted but quite a fair bit of cash too chuck at my track car even if it does loom very nice.
Could have my PMS quick shift, EPAS setup, stud conversion and a track day for the same price lol. Still tempted though... all I seem to do is spend lately haha bloody money pit.
I'm thinking about changing the springs on my BC coil overs (also a set of spanners for adjusting the height too but that's another thread), not sure what they are as i bought the car with them on any idea how you check what they are? Mine has a bit too much roll according to the instructor I...
I hate it when you grip it really tight and twist and it's not as tight as you thought and you take the skin off your knuckles lol (that's why i use the little cup thingie) and same as above when putting new one on smear new oil round seal and hand tight with no problems.
In the for sale section and put an add up int he wanted section. Although you may have too sign up to a full membership, only about a tenner for the year but if you save more than that looking for an engine it'll habe paid for itself.
Well @Dr Jekyll I did check on one of the guides on here and it says 10mm hence i was trying to 10mm for a few mins until i worked my way up to the 13mm
I did my oil/filter the other day and for some reason my fuel rail guard nuts were 13mm I tried a 10mm one for ages with no joy and went up to 13mm untill it started too loosen the nuts. And swapped my sump plug for a magnetic one...
I have a small one strapped to the passenger foot well but its not a proper plumbed in one. My mates been to Spa a couple of times this year in his Mini and he doesn't have a fire extinguisher plumbed in, not sure if he has one strapped in like me I've never noticed.
Looks like a fantastic trip would love to do something like this, I've done South of Italy in a Fiesta van that was a mad week as a support car for a few lads doing a car show there, and done Germany and the Ring over 4 days in an R32 quite a few years back loads of driving not much sightseeing...
Nope lol sometimes I wonder how were friends, I looked at a C63 AMG (estate as I think they look better than the saloon) and one mate said why would you buy a 2012 Mercedes when you have a newer 2013 BMW ( I was driving my 125d) and i just wanted to slap him so hard, doesn't help that they all...
Just had my 888 fitted to a spare set of wheels ready for Oulton park on Tuesday. Going too take my Maxogen off later on and see how dirty it is (if I can be bothered lol)
Dropped the oil and put new filter on ready for track day next week and then fitted the spray washer jets. Oh and one of those magnetic sump plugs from Opie.
I have people come up to me all the time asking what my VXR8 is because it has 0 badges on the body just the wheel center caps which are Holden badges. I just says it's a Holden Commodore and get a stranger look, some people say but isn't it a Vauxhall VXR (the seats have the VXR logo on them)...
Cheers @optical I haven't had the case open on the maxogen yet so not sure what the chrome is like (don't know where it is anyway lol) and @na-motorsport do you sell the replacement filters just out of curiosity.
If you sell the cleaning stuff if you can post up a price I would rather buy off a trader on here if not massively expensive. It's mainly a track car so that jdr-2 oil would be fine.
Cheers.
Anyone know what is recommended I didn't have any instructions for mine as it was on the car, but heard somewhere you can't just use any old cleaner. I was going too use warm water too clean and just re-oil with one of the recommended oils on the ITG website.
Cheers.

Strange could the hazard switch be playing up I know in my 172 cup it's a little finicky and will come on if I wiggle it ever so slightly, maybe when you brake hard enough the contacts in the switch are touching slightly. A new switch is pretty cheap if you know any one with same car borrow it...
