Yeah I've clicked for more info but they all have the same description...
I'm sure you're right about it being the more expensive one though, it always is lol!
Will give them a call. Cheers mate!
Thanks Scott, so not essential to buy the genuine sensors then!
ECP have two, both made by Bosch, but one is £13 and the other is £65. Will the cheap one be ok?
Love this, especially the seats!
Does swapping the runflats for some 'normal tyres' make that much of a difference? My girlfriend has a Cooper S with runflats and the ride is awful! If you're pressing on it skips all over the road and takes away any enjoyment from what I imagine could be a fun...
Unfortunately, I had to butcher my front ABS sensors when removing them from the hub carriers, so I need to replace them. Is this a 'genuine only' part of is there a good (and cheaper) alternative?
Thanks in advance.
I would agree with imprezaworks. A refresh of the OEM steering and suspension components will offer more of an improvement than a cheap set of coilovers. In standard form, these cars are great on a B road blast, but they do tend to loose their edge with time / mileage. If you're handy with the...
Not sure on that one mate - I have only ever left the rack in situ.
I'm sure you'll be fine once the ARB is out the way
Would be interesting to know what other people have done to remove those upper bolts though. I would imagine you could even lower the subframe slightly and then undo...
Thanks both. Will see what Halfords have in stock tomorrow!
Would I be ok to paint over the ABS rings?
I take it I don't need to worry about unbalancing the shafts by painting them?
Hi all. Just a quick one, I have the driveshafts off my car and I'm looking to give them a lick of paint before refitting, can anybody recommend the best type of paint to use and process to follow?
Many thanks
Stripped my Sachs dampers and degreased them ready for a refurb at BG Motorsport. Looking forward to having shiny powder coated dampers... the bill not so much!
Speak to Charlie @ Pro Speed in Cardiff. His work is top quality and I'm sure he only charges £430ish for a 182 system. I had mine done there last year and couldn't be happier. I opted for 3.5" slash cut tips with what Charlie calls a 'mid-sport' tone. It isn't intrusive at all, but sounds...
I can't offer any feedback on that particular model, but we use a Sigma 10-20mm lens for a similar purpose (estate agency) and it has been a great investment. It wasn't much more expensive than the model you've linked to, maybe a little over £200 and that was some time ago.
The only thing I've...
Just get them mate! Honestly, they make a world of difference, especially if your existing mounts are knackered. As long as they're fitted correctly the vibrations aren't too bad.
They seem to hold their money too, so you'll have no problem selling them on if you decide they're not for you.
I would agree with the guys above. I've had both pad types and the DS2500's weren't £100 better. I'd imagine it to be a different story on track, but that's irrelevant if you aren't planning to do any track days!
I would of thought it could be repaired using paintless dent removal (PDR) techniques.
I'm sure somebody local to you will pop by with a recommendation. Hope you get it sorted mate
Surprisingly, a 15ml bottle goes a long way. If you did all of the exterior plastics on a Clio, I'd say you'd get 2 - 3 applications from a single bottle. Not bad value when you consider a single application can last up to two years!
It really depends how bad they are and how you will be polishing them afterwards (by hand or machine). If they aren't too bad, I'd probably start with the 1500 and see how you get on.
As for a sealant, I wouldn't say it's essential, but it should help to preserve the finish. I'd probably go...
Yeah they are mate, I have quite a few tools from Halfords (including two of their torque wrenches) and have found them really good tbh. Admittedly, that's only occasional use at home, I'm not sure how they'd cope doing 40+ hours a week!
They also give a good warranty. I haven't had a problem...
The Halfords Professional torque wrenches get good reviews and are said to be accurate to +/- 3% of the reading.
