You are never going to see a mega power increase, but there will be an increase. I saw an improvement in torque and smoother power delivery on my old PH-1 172. Are they 'worth it'.. well that all depends on what you are expecting for the money you are going to spend?

Do we think a GPU card will be needed for video editing, or will intergrated HD 4000 Graphics be good enough? (I know video editing is more CPU and memory hungry, but how much so on the GPU...)

You can do it from the Windows 7 install disc, when you boot from it. IMO a 'full' format is not necessary - you can delete all the partitions on a disk which practically blows away all the data.

This x1000000. I can never seen W8 being used in a corporate environment! Out of the 3500~ systems our Company has in the UK I know of two device using W8, which are Panasonic toughpad tablets used by field engineers for data capture (they where provided by a client so not strictly 'our' devices).

Have a look on Meganesport.net most failures are the rods bending or fueling problems.
