    F4R running in methods

LOL. It was more a question of is there a specific method for running in an F4R, compared to other engines.

    F4R running in methods

Hi all, I've had a search but cannot find a definitive answer... What method do you use for running in a freshly built F4R engine (new bores, rings, forged rods and pistons, rebuilt head etc.)? The engine is boosted, if this makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

I was just about to post this... Quite a common issue on the RS Meganes, which use the same brake set-up.

    Magnex/Mongoose question

Or contact the company who supplied the exhaust and ask for the full fitting kit? The above mount you've linked would not work, this needs to be a specific size or the exhaust will sag on one side.

    Magnex/Mongoose question

I don't own a 172 anymore, but I used to work for the company who manufactured that exhaust system.

    Magnex/Mongoose question

As I said, it goes (bolts) between the chassis and OE rear exhaust mount, it can only fit one way! A rubber fits on the bracket hanger and the back box hanger.
  24. G

    Magnex/Mongoose question

The plate fits between the chassis and OE rear exhaust mount, it provides additional support for the backbox. It should be pretty self explanatory when looking at the mount and backbox :)

:o This subject has been covered more times than I've scratched my balls.

    Matched Inlets

*sigh* Do they gain power: Yes Are they worth the money: That's down to the individual PH-1's have the worst inlet casting / matching, RS stamped inlets which come on the later 1*2's are better but still not perfect.

Issue fitting New Shock & Coil

Put a breaker bar between the wishbone and subframe to lever the hub down, this will allow the shock absorber to slot in place.
