Hi. My Aux belt is due on my cup (non-aircon) I see its pretty simple. Is there a specific tightness/ sag regarding tensioning the belt after refitting ?
Bit of a basic random one guys , but I have the ktec set-up for a number of years with 421's and lately she is a bit boggy pulling away. Any ideas ITB's etc balanced throttle all set etc
Oh the sprint in May!!
I am attending one of the track days at Llandow with one of the lads who is in the DEWS club, not sure which one it is, to give him a hand with his car.
He’s a Renault fanboy but the mini bug has bitten him since being in the club so he bought a ex mini seven race car and...
Cheers for the replies.
Will have to get it plugged in on some gen90 software.
It can’t be the auto lights etc as it is a cup so doesn’t have any of that stuff by the looks of it .
I’m starting to think it must be wiring related as I had to move a few things when I was renewing the gearbox end...
I have the SERV light on my dash with no other light.
In the past I have had it with the airbag light but not this time.
The only thing I did yesterday was take of the reverse sensor plug as I had to change the gearbox cap seal.
Any ideas?
The car is a cup with GEN90 Ecu.
The oil is fine and...
I have had my ITB set-up on my cup for a number of years now but a small problem has just reared it’s head that’s annoying me.
When the car is warm and you come to a stop at a junction etc the idle comes down but stops around 1600rpm, it sometimes stays there then drops as you go to pull away...
It's not quite the same but I moved from a 172 cup to a R26 megane and i couldn't fault the R26 such a nicer place to be sat and do decent journey in , with a few small mods they are a rapid machine and grip so well.
Thankfully though i kept the cup and I have now sold the R26, I'm not sure if...
i have a problem with my 172 cup if any electrical wizz’s can help ?
The offside indicator is on all the time as soon as you turn the ignition on and stays on all the time!!
The only time it will go off is when you select to turn left instead.
I’m thinking UCH?
It started a while back...
Ive had ITB's fitted about 7 years with zero issues although mines not a daily, I fancied some boost so i have bought an R26.
I Must admit to really enjoying the meg, so after 12 years the old clio will up for sale shortly 😞.
Just to add my two pence worth . I have a 172 cup that i have had 12 years now and its gone through many different guises. It currently sits on ITB's cams and some headwork. I only used for some road fun and i do some sprinting and hillclimbing in it.
Suspension wise I would just refresh...
Really enjoyed it yesterday Graham nice to get the clios out at the same time. Im gonna tuck the cup away and drive the R26 over the winter i see what happens in the spring as to what stays and what goes.
Lovely mate. I have found a nice spec down the road from me that i am seriously tempted to get a flog on my Cup so that i can buy.
Always wondered how one would compare to my Itb'd cammed and headed cup. Prob a LOT more refined!!!!😂😂
Really like those wheels i must admit. I'm at charmouth this Saturday. Not a fan of the place but need the points for my class. Im also entered for the combe sprint in October so looks like we will be in the same class!!!!!
Sounds ominous!!! Hopefully I will be at the combe pegasus sprint in october and maybe clay pigeon.
Not a bad day yesterday unfortunately the rain, mud and oil on the hill shortened the meeting and meant two very bent mini's in my class (DEWS club) but thankfully only metal damage that...
Always enjoy Wiscombe. I was spectating last Saturday nice to be stood on the other side and enjoy a beer!! I'm competing there tomorrow hoping the weather holds off!!
Rob i'm also in weston. Two hill loving cups in the same town!!
Looking good Graham. I will be at 5 clubs spectating and there the following week competing at the MG car club event. Hopefully i will be a the pegasus sprint at combe in october as well if you are there.
Terry's place is a couple of miles down the road from me, some amazing stuff he turns out.
Errrrr I bought a brand new N/S 172 cup driveshaft from renault 2 days ago, took 48 hrs to get in. If i needed the drivers side as well it was obtainable in the same timescale I was told.
Mine with cams and ITB's used to pop it on the overrun after it was mapped last year. It started doing my head in so some more advance and fuel added low down sorted her out a treat.
Good result Graham, shame about the door but as said at least its not structual. One of our club hit the bale in his mini and gave the drivers side front wing a heavy knock.
I have only done Charmouth once and although was a fan of the area and the banter I couldn't get on with the course ( Too...
Looks good Graham, I really enjoy the LLandow sprint but was out the country enjoying the sun until yesterday!!! Sad news about the imp but good to see roll cage did it's job. There was also a nasty crash at Wiscombe yesterday which resulted in injury to the driver and a shortened day.
I was...
