Installed mine yesterday and uploaded one of the generic maps and cal and I can honestly say its the best mod for the money i have done. You wont all of a sudden be going out chasing lambo's but he car is a lot more responsive and willing. Im gonna...
I've only been about five miles since i loaded the map. Generally i only use super or V power. Not much help but will repost when i have put a few more miles on it.
Received mine today. Impressive bit of kit once i sorted out what i was doing (not too hot with the old computers).
Loaded group n. rst followed by ron 98.cal I think this was the right thing to do? The car feels better through the box and seems to have complemented the other breathing mods...
Gonna think about rs tuner then. Will the generic maps be ok and hopefully make it run better or is it worth having a custom map.
The only mods are decat, itg panel and stealth exhaust.
I must admit after driving a standard cup the other week it felt a lot more urgent than mine, I have to agree about the back pressure on N/a cars had a good deal on the de-cat so tried it. Thinking the plan is Rs tuner and take it from the there.
Cheers for replies. My friends and ther mot tester said exactly the same about leaving it alone. They just dont understand;).
Thinking of investing in a remap or may just get Rs tuner. Is that £170 for the pro kit or standard and custom map. Sorry my knowledge is not so good on Rs tuner haven't...
Im just posting to ask if anybody else has noticed that their car smells of burnt fuel since they have had a decat fitted.
I notice it when i stop and get out of the car, i can smell it when walking away. My car also feels a little flat since fitting of the de-cat.
Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Im a big mini nut myself.
Gonna try to get mine as I want it for next years 50th meetings, as long as the clio stops robbing it from having time spent on it. The clio's seem to be just as time consuming as the minis :)
Just took girlfriends bro to look at a cup. Im a little jealous makes mine look like a right shed. It was being sold by a trader who sells audis and mercs etc and didnt know anything about clios. Its a 53 plate iceburg silver cup with c'control and best of all its only done 15K miles it is an...
Morning, I was driving to work today and i had the radio off and i noticed that when travelling along in third i can here a faint whirring noise like when you had a bit off radio interference in an old car. Im hoping its not gearbox related. I did go round the combe last week so its tired...
Spoke to the chap with the two tone 172 and could not believe it was pretty standard the speed it was carrying. All it had done is the guts ripped out of the cat blistein coilovers and a straight air feed to the inlet he told me. But it was majorly stripped out.
Nothing loose mate. Just torqued everything up and it seems good. Took it out for a blast and the car feels nice and tight and now you can feel a def benefit of the de-cat
