Hey.. does any one know about quicker steering rack (lock to lock ) ? I've been trying to fabricate Clio 200 steering rack (2.3 ltl) to work ot out, but it's not simple at all lol. I didn't find any information about this. Does any one try to do so ? I've heard that s1600 have quicker rack, but...

Currently, black powerflex all over the car. pms solid top mount rear white line rear arb. tires - hankook rs3 about bc setup.. i find out that 6 clicks rear and 13 clicks front (from hard ) work the best for me.

hey.. i was looking all over and can't find any info about other/faster steering rack for 172 the correct one of any 172/182/cup/trophy from what i see is 2.75 from lock to lock is there any options for faster one like clio 200 (2.2 LTL)? any one try to modify clio 200 rack on 172 ? best...

well.. first, no matter what bring back to life this project, its amazing one and i'm glad you didn't abandoned it :) about the ecu, there's any guide maybe how to fit the cam phase sensor from analog to digital ? from how its sound, its need to be simple one, just need to know where to wire...

You kidding right? How you can lost interest with it, don't you curious to know how it goes? Btw I thinking about installing only the 197 piston with the 172 head, to increase the ratio abit, maybe get some more torque in low end will be nice. Is it possible to do just that?

Seriously thx for helping... Is there any thing worth with the 197 engine that can be good project for the 172 engine? I'll just have the time and passion for doing something interesting with it, so I don't mind to give it a try :)

Wondering if there's some guid about installing them in the right position, or something close... I have working 50 miles 197 engine. Was thinking about the cams for abit of upgrade, since I've already need to replace the belt.

Sorry for my terrible English :( I mention by that for getting the cames in the right direction. As I saw in few thread here, the original marks on the cams, with the 172, won't change alot, if any...

I to much confusion... Duno if to buy it or not, obviously there's different between the two. :(

hey... i saw few thread about 197 cams on 172. but i didn't find any guide about fitting them. i have my own garage at home... and know how to work on the car, but how complicate is it to fit the 197 cams with proper timing ? is it worth dealing with ? thx in advance :)
