they are good as an insulator from the head, however the inlet sits on top of the engine and absorbs heat that way, so the gains would be very marginal
but they do withstand removal and refitting better than standard gaskets
imo not worth it unless you are boosted and producing a lot of heat...
on a cold engine with cold oil, no warming up just jump in and drive that will surely be high pressure
not a problem if you warm the oil up a bit first though
hot idle pressure will be ok with the thicker oil ,as you said the engines are fairly poorly matched to the oil pumps

for cheapness and ease of use i would get the rs tuner tbh, £100 -125 for a box then when your done sell it on so can have a remap for about 90 euros, instead of a £250 -300 pound map
