Yep, prefer them to my old KW V2's.
Comfortable whilst still geared towards handling. Not crashy, handle damaged road surfaces well.
Seem to be very well built.
I've just replaced my KW V2's with Bilsteins, have to say I'm loving them and rate them over the KW's I had before.
Comfortable and not crashy, good damping, handling is very good.
Kam Racing can normally do very good deals on them (that's where I got mine)
No idea on the Recaros for comfort, best advice I can give is test any set before you buy.
Personally I run Bimarco Futuras fixed back bucket seats, not sure they will be suitable for you due to your back.
If the Dephaser wasn't rattling at belt change, not much they can do to predict.
On the other hand they may have suggested changing it and the owner declined as there was no issue at the time.
