Well after a week or 2 since its last clean and going over the Moors yesterday I really needed to clean the car.
The car has already been waxed twice and sealed using Dodo Juice Bananarmour and Black Hole. Was planning on doing another layer today but unfortunately rain looked likely so was...
Cheers for the comments, car has just had a few hours spent cleaning it up but didn't get time to add another coat of wax and sealant
Cant wait to get another run out but think it will be the Northumberland Coastline upto the borders

First time I have had the time to test the 182 over some decent roads with the latest mods in place.
Did around 170 miles all in all and had a great time, must admit the car doesn't need coilover's, handles amazing for what it is.
Current chassis mods are:
- Powerflex full bush kit
- Eibach...
Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
98 map is something I have been looking at, not fussed on spacers just if any come up cheap I will try them haha.
I was planning coilovers for summer but after spending a day around the North Yorkshire Moors...
Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
Is a shame but always a way with other spacers.
The spending is nearly done, it is just my cheap daily hack but like it to be smart enough and not bland.
Got all the brakes, exhaust and Turini's tucked away...
Got a pic somewhere of mine with some black tape on to simulate this, will dig it out for you
Does look canny, I am going for a matt black look - the vinyl only costs buttons

Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
Well fitted the 16mm spacers and unfortunately they are to wide so the wheels sit outside the arches slightly.
No spacers fitted:
Spacers on:
So they have been removed and decided I will get some...
Build thread is in the projects section:

Going for BC Racing coilovers all being well once get some more information through
Winter wheels are ideal, I got the Williams...
Is this through Tints & Tweeks?
I have been there before but not for exhaust work back in my Focus ST days
Seem to do good work but never had anything exhaust related done personally
That is good to know - mine is just on Eibach sportlines at present but plans are for coilovers after the winter.
Got to say your Inferno looks lovely - I have had my Turini's sitting here for abit but getting them refurbed in Ford Sea Grey - they wont go on until spring though,
Rob
Makes wheel changes easier as mentioned above. Plus saves wearing the threads on the rear discs which I found can happen if wheels changed around a lot on the car.
I am going to try them on and see what they sit like. Should make the Williams wheels fill the arches nicely but not sure how it...
These are the spacers and bolts I have bought:
Just spoke to Pure Motorsport and think I will be going for their stud conversion, will use the extended bolts for the short term

Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
Another delivery for the Bean - got 2 pairs of hubcentric 16mm bolt through spacers and a set 45mm threaded bolts.
All being well will be fitted on Thursday
Rob
I use the car as my everyday car/fast road car and do plan doing a trackday or 2 next year.
May look into the K-tec or Pure Motorsport stud conversion and use these spacers with them
Rob
I have just bought some hubcentric bolt through spacers - got 16mm for front and rear.
I am just about to order new Taperpro bolts for these (45mm threads) however I am a little cautious as they aren't bolt to hub versions.
Anyone had any issues with this type or issues with bolts loosening...
Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
So quite alot progressed today.
To start with the front of the car was stripped down:
Struts as removed from car - dirty and looking tired:
Cleaned, painted and assembled with new Pure Motorsport top...
Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
Well another day another mini update - got some black gold mirror caps fitted and also a renault boot net.
Also waiting for the following to arrive ready to fit:
- Pure Motorsport top mounts and strut brace...
Yeah this was the 2.9 V6 in the 12v variation. Lovely motor but unfortunately it has been sold - regretted selling it but no storage and trying to sort a house meant it had to be done. It wasn't that quick but it was a fantastic drive and put a smile on my face more than any other car I have...
Re: My Inferno Orange 182 Project Thread - Fast Road/Occasional track day car....
Cheers for the comments - at work solid for a little bit but will try and squeeze some Clio time in
