I don't see the need the remove so much material to save weight. If it is machined steel it should be fairly light. You can save more weight by removing the loose change in your wallet before track ....

There is tabs on the backside that need to line up. Make sure the wheels are straight. There is a little tab on the left hand side that's slots into place to align it with the wheel
Create a folder or your desktop and map it as a network drive ? Unless the network you are on doesn't allow device discovery and file sharing for security reasons

I only use it for my windows 7 virtual machine, I only run Dialogy so never to bothered about updating it just seems to automatically do it. You could always download it off the internet for free [emoji6]

It can be used in low light condition (Or in the dark) so it is less straining on the eyes. Yes you can turn the brightness down but it isn't always enough.
