@Davyy thank you for the humour today
Reading yours and everyones replies just reminds me what CS is all about. Decent fast help but in humorous delivery.
I hope you made a good job of that positive battery terminal problem you had before? Don't want any sparks now you've done this job...
Nice
I did notice this after my new unit arrived.. actually thought there was something missing from the back of it, no wonder they fail!
Next time... LED strip from China..!
If you need the code for the stereo then I can help you out with it, just need a picture of the bar code etc on the top of the headunit itself.
If not, then there are various steering wheel control adaptors available for the original stalk. Alpine or Pioneer get my vote, but more so Pioneer...
Amen to this
5 minutes to physically disconnect and pull out and replace the cable itself... if the cars in the air, stripped down, and ready to remove the cable.. But sometimes heat shields that haven't been touched since new or other bodges can add an hour onto the job.
I reckon it took me...
Looking good @ashtons99 !
Good job on painting them too, makes the world of difference when its on the road looking in behind the wheel and not seeing rust.
Hope the ABS rings fitted ok ?
Mine was missing the big pad clips when I got it... made me feel a little sick after I had been driving it round for a while and noticed!
Been a little OCD about them since lol, it's a dodgy design
Good stuff pal but just a note that the little push clip for the bottom metal rail that support the pads, it pushes through the bar and not like a ring/split pin style like you've done in the pic above. Needs to be right as you don't want the pads coming out trust me! :)
Yeah sorry I just saw the above two photos and jumped to conclusions as it looks like a barn or something and quite a cloudy flat finish after.
But daves later photos show it isnt the case :up:
Yeah fair one I wasn't sure how you painted it that's all, and know you've broken a fair few what look to be perfectly good Clio's lol
A black car this age is always going to need some attention. Look forward to how this one turns out
Surely the Cup @ADS1982 sold you would of been a better project than this black one @cs_dave ?
The black one, is that damage behind the light or something?
Surely there are better shells without the DIY respray etc pal?
Good work and results at last pal!
I think the Megane bush thing is standard on most causing gearstick issues so atleast that should feel better now
Get photos of it without the decals and maybe a video? There was a cheap SJCAM @midge was selling recently that would do the job!
Generally this means it's the wrong key... For example, my MK1 Clio key fits my MK2 passenger door lock, but it just spins the lock.
This confirms it's been messed around with before. Mismatching glued key fobs / blades etc
Surprised this thread hasn't be locked tbh
Some very nice gear there!
The Aqua is absolutely superb coming from the Megs Water Magnet.
I dried both my Clio and the wife's Megane without even ringing it out, and her car is black too!
I expect to see a detailed thread ASAP !
The OBD2 is black?
If your on about the yellow and black wiring plug that isn't connected to anything, it's something to do with automatic Clio's and can be ignored @JoeBananas
