Nice work Dan, looks good mate.
Re battery, if it was me then I'd look at fitting an Anderson plug set up mate, much safer.
I would hate for anything to happen and all of your hard work go up into flames.
We had them fitted to our race cars and fixed to the inner part of the side sill, all...
The difference is though mate that your bits are alloy and needed to be a nice finish.
If you blast steel hubs and paint them straight after then they will be fine. But if the are left then the damp will get to them and start them rusting again.
I've had cast iron calipers shot blasted with no...
I used to drive my Clio up onto wood, i still do with the Impreza.
Or just buy something like this.

I know mate, its the main stream "impreza" dicks that think every impreza should burble and have a great big boot spoiler. My car is one of 325 in the world and it will never be having a spoiler fitted.:up::hearteyes:
Ah, I thought I wasn't going mad!
So you've fixed the gearbox/drive shaft issues and potentially saved the engine from going bang!
Makes perfect sense to sort everything at once while it's off the road and before the nice weather comes.
I hope you have a trouble free year next year with it...
Looks good, how comes you've fitted a fuel return pipe now or am I missing something. Not read the whole thread tbh.
I know you had driveshaft issues so I thought that was all that needed sorting.
As others have said, buy the biggest compressor you can as a blasting cabinet will use alot of air. You'll also need high air pressure to blast the stuff effectively.
This is what I have but the compressor is far to small to keep up, I've only been blasting small parts and mainly nuts and...
He means are the head studs stretching under boost which makes the heads lift.
This isn't the case with your car or any of the other FRS, you'd also get coolant and oil mixing.
It's something that would happen when running more boost than stock.
Why has the gasket failed and have Ford's changed the gasket design?
Or is it something more? I did see on YT an engine that had one of the head stud fixings crack at the rear of the block through a bad block casting.
Is it this that's the problem mate?
😂😂
Yeah because i can see myself selling the Impreza to buy one.....Not alot compares to the Spec C. (but id like one to keep in the garage as i think the prices are on the up)
