Ive just been looking at this , im not getting the battery light prior to starting on the dash 🤔 , tried direct 12v to the pin terminal on alternator aswell
Will try this the exciter wire did used to be solder directly from the loom to it , its the same loom ive transferred to my new shell. Hooefully its something simple as ive been told the alternator is good.
Can anyone tell me the length required ? The car isnt with me and asking a friend to make a cable , does anyone know what lenght is sufficient to route it the oem way ?
Yeah im wondering if its something daft , the looms are from my iceberg car but only change is the looms have been fitted to my new shell and the alternator set up has the cup mounting but is 110A valeo unit so not sure if because this is not an actual cup one does it need additional wiring to...
Battery light is not on , im getting same voltage when running. I put the multimeter on the positive side of the alternator positive and im getting nothing there so thinking there is a break in that wire.
If i pull thr neg of the battery car dies
I bought a used alternator set up with cup mounts butvi think the guy said it wasnt a cup alternator but was the same , possibly a ph1 diesel ?
Any ideas people ? I can get some pics and see if i can get the part number , it is a valeo unit.

So i got the car back late friday night ! Had to push it into the garage , battery was flat after its last start as the alternator isnt charging so need to remove this week to take for repair.
Front grilles have been painted gloss black along with the fog light surrounds and badge.

I have the motor and runner in and the glass but cant get the runner bolts to line up with the screen in place , just to go ever so slightly more up 🤔. Do you need power to the window to adjust possibly ?
Sneak peak ! Got the car back late last night ! Loads to do still to get it on the road ! Alternator needs to be removed and taken for repair. Reverse gear needs adjusting and currently has no seats fitted !
Nothing done on this lately , still need to figure out the intermittent start issue , will fire up 4 or 5 times then wont even attempt to turn over. Then the nextday starts again.
I have replaced the crank sensor and loom piece so ruled that out.
Im expecting all to crash , bitcoin to pump then big sell off and money pumped into alt coins to pump before a sell off , whales , china and Elon musk usually mess things up.
Monday morning arrived and my mate arrived with his tow truck , always use him for transport.
Off to have 2 doors painted and front bumper so its all one colour lol.
Im also going to get my 182 wheels painted but this will be done once the car is back and tyres have been removed.

Yeah its not very good them selling a product that costed alot of money ! I bought the original one but my car did about 300 mile on it and i sold it as i got a cup set up , the new design does look far superior and havent heard of any issues yet
