Looking at your figures that Seat have, you are well under the gross train weight.
1870 + 1500=3370kg
You just need to find a trailer that is stamped up with a 1000kg pay load and a gross weight of 1500kg and you are sorted.
The 1500kg on the cars tow weight at 12% is for novices. The 8% is for...
This is a really hard subject to explain but I'll give it a go....
So with your tow vehicle I would be extremely surprised if a seat leon can tow 1600kg???? You defo need to double check that! Small modern hatchback are usually around 1000kg maximum tow weight some dont even do that!
But the...
Right, bit of a break from writing pages on here but I'll do abit more.
Next I needed to get the brake lines finished prior to the engine going back in.
Starting from the mastercylinder I fixed the front caliper lines in position and tightened the joints. The blank that came in the proline kit...
Will these top plates be camber and castor adjustable?
Aswell as removable?
Removable means removing the strut tops turrets and welding brackets in to hold the top plates in?
Normally @NorthloopCup will post the gearbox back to you with reverse gear selected. So it's just a case of sliding the linkage back onto the gearbox link shaft and then test and adjust until you can select all of the gears.
Really you should have marked the linkage before you removed it so you...
I've bought the full 172cup 4port bulkhead kit and some front braided lines. Yes they were late, but the product was top notch. Fit like a dream.
It's a shame the owner is a pleb.
We all know the quality of your work and your engineering background and attention for detail. These will fly off the shelves once you've finished testing and can put your seal of approval on them.
Next you need to create a decent 4pot brake package that fits under 15s with out have it...
Nice write up, I'm sure you are aware of a certain RC setup that fails on track.
You definitely know your stuff regarding engineering so I'm sure your kit will perform perfectly and reliably.
I also know what you mean regarding the turn in! I have Mr Northloopcup's setup and at Croft in August...
I didn't know that m8 but now you say it that makes sense.
The probe method will work on any vehicle though, not just our old bangers.
Plus not all ignition lives are 12.v either
Next I moved on to fitting the EPAS column and ECU.
I had previously bought the Ebay controller, and the ECU and column off another forum member.
I had a quick look over the instructions and then went to my local auto electrician to get the power cable and connectors required.
I started by...
On to the next stage which is the engine. I don't have anything planned regarding pulling the engine to bits, but whilst it's out and easy to get to I decided to change the sump gasket and the crank seal behind the flywheel. Also I couldn't put the dirty rusty engine back into an immaculate...
