Are they genuine pads?
Sorry op, we've gone way off topic. Look in my project thread, lots of pics from when I changed my bottom ball joint.

Yh that sounds like the pads are touch against the disc even though your not applying pressure, mine squeak sometimes when I'm gently braking, it's very annoying.
Trying jet jet washing your brakes, sometimes that stops it.
Don't know then mate. I'm sure I read on here somewhere that the body panel just bolt on, but I guess theirs more to it, sounds like you know what you've got to do, good luck.
I had this problem.
If the car is under warrenty their replace the hole swivel hub which is about £150- £200 just for the part.
But if your car isn't under warrenty you can take the cheaper option like I did and buy just the ball joint direct from R-sport for £50. Then your left with fitting...
Their was a chap on here from Norfolk on here that attempted this, but I don't think he finished it.
This come up in convo before, the conclusion was, it's not worth it with boost, a standard mani will be just as effective.
This is the thread that got the ball rolling.

And no I didn't copy it from the pumas, I wanted spacers and I was looking at shims and thought, why couldn't you just add 15mm to that shim? Lol.
Saw this on eBay, wouldn't look too bad with spacers, front lip, fresh plates, oh and an actuall exhaust tip to fill the recess, lol.

oh yeah, and don't open the doors ;)
Mainly for strength, and price as well I guess.
Their was word that alloy ones would deform slightly when tightened down, which would make the geo go out.
and the other reason is, theirs hardly anything to them so theirs hardly going to be any weight difference between alloy and steel.
