    I think Ktr made a come filter set up for the mk3's not sure if it's available though. I dont see why it would bring a warning light up though, are you sure you havnt left anything disconnected?

    If it's on the minimum mark it's hardly missing any, you could top it up with that stuff you've got, you could get some Renault coolant or you could just use a bit of water, it's not going to hurt it.
