Yeah i know - ive actually got a Detailed model one sat here on my desk - ive often thought about it - but the vent they had was Huge!!
Anyway, a lot of people are saying how an induction kit doesnt work on the 16v Clio - but they must have used something similar on the Rally car, as it had...
WONGY! Did you tell your insurance people about this? How do they like that? Do you think youre shortening the life of the engine by having work like that done to it?
Mail me if youd rather not say anything on here - nick.goodall@qassocitaes.co.uk
Cheers
Ive just been thinking - what about getting some of those "cool-louvres" stamped into the front corner (passenger side) of the bonnet, where the induction Kit sits?? Surely this would be a good idea to get Cold Air circulating around the Filter??
Any reasons why this wouldnt work??
Was...
Yeah but Stainless Steel Lasts Forever - and Mongoose are apparently the best for Power Gains..... Think of all those people who pay £300 for a new one! Mine was only 5 months old, and the guy showed me the receipt to prove it....
I might have to have a look then! Where can you get the rubber parts from? Would Halfords or some where like that sell them? I take it theyre not Car Specific?
Just found this - but does anyone know what they are, where they go etc? Heres the description:
These kits consist of a JR Element and a performance petrol pressure regulator.
The regulator is fitted in place of the original, very simple, very quick. When fitted the regulator will...
How do you know where it is Knocking? I got the system fitted on Sunday, its fine when cold but after a couple of minutes starts knocking quite badly - i cant tell where its knocking though??
Thanks Nick - thats helpful!
Can you advise what size (diameter) pipe i would need, to fit in the new hole? Also - would it hurt to take out the sh*t guard, as i dont want muck etc getting in any where it shouldnt??
Thanks a lot mate.
I doubt ill be there - its so far for me! However, knocking that plate out was dead easy, i just wedged a screw driver down the side of it, and then got another one in the other side and it just popped out!
How do you get the air feed from there, up to the induction kit - Someone MUST know...
I removed the blanking plate next to my foglight (passenger side) but theres no way i can run a pipe from there up to my Induction kit - i dont see a gap at all??
How did you do this (if you have) as i dont see how its possible?
Thanks a lot.
Is it easy to do then???
I was thinking of offering more like £140 - do you think thats good??
Ive been quoted £60 to fit it by a "mate" but i thought that was a lot?!?
Anyone know if theyre good? Im thinking of getting a full system with De-Cat pipe, i know someone whos selling one for £170 - its not been on the car a year yet - i was going to offer £140, how much should i pay for someone to fit it????
Well, i want to lower my 16v by 30-35mm. Im just going to replace the front springs, and get someone to adjust the torsion bar - but does anyone know if it will rub being lowered?? Its fine at the moment except on full lock they catch on the inner guards but apart from that its fine!
I either drive up to St Albans to get a Full Powerflow System, with a de-cat pipe - Single 3-4 Inch tail pipe (might go for twin exit)
Or i drive up to Derbyshire and have a Cat-back Magnex System fitted by Nick Hill.
What would you do??????????????
I am going to get my plastic side srips painted at the weekend, but i need to remove them to be able to do this. Do you know if they just pull straight off, or is there screws holding them on etc? My car is the phase 1 16v, so theyre the thinner ones that stick out more?
Thanks a lot.
Well, i bought the paint for mine - £20 plus you need Primer, Lacquer and i paid a bloke £30 to paint it, then me and my Dad fitted it - was fairly easy actually! Dont bother paying someone to fit, its not worth it! Have a look at mine, in the gallery click on my Silver Clio to see the new pic...
Just bought a Hill Power Induction Kit, ive currently got a Pipercross one, but do you think the Hill Power one will be better for me?? Is it as simple to fit as the pipercross one was?
