When in idle or light acceleration (sound of engine drowns it out otherwise) there's a sound like a cross between clicking and a whirring. I appreciate thats a pretty piss poor description but any help would be nice! Toby
tbh mate i think you're pretty close to being spot on imo. where in pembs do you live? all my family live there, some nice driving roads! and also some dodgy narrow roads!
After searching through different threads im still unsure is it 52mm or 58mm!? as v maxx say its 52mm http://www.v-maxx.co.uk/viewproduct.asp?id=161&m2=81 but ive come across threads where people are saying its 58mm :S
read through it all mate, for a grand you'll be laughing all the way to the ring....hopefully! best colour imo and gotta say best 172 with a sunroof ive ever seen ;)
cottee mate i put a sniper exhaust on my car for all of a month. before regretting it. sounded good under 20mph, over that and it really got on my tits. i imagine the cherry bomb will be the same, had a look at ktec exhausts? bit more expensive but might be better for long term hearing :P
wouldnt really be able to give you a great idea as i dont have one. but sounds like you'd be better with the dci. some people get crazy mpg with them and they have more of a kick than the 1.2 without doubt
also have you looked at the dci's? they get good reviews from people on here and have way more grunt than a 1.2 while shouldnt be as bad on insurance. Also 1.6's can be a little harder to sell on as they are not considered a 'hot hatch' but then not cheap enough to run and insure for a person...
You could have just been unlucky mate, my 1.2 has been faultless in all the time I've had it. Depending on your age a 1.6 could be a bit pricey on insurance? Especially as it's your first car. One tip, is dont go for a sun roof! From mates and talking to other clio owners it seems 9/10 rattle...
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?662445-ClioSport-Calendar-2013&highlight=calendar I havent looked through all of them, but im assuming there has to be a few ph1 in there!
trying to fit raceland coilovers to mk2 1.2 however cant seem to fit them with the wheel. As part of the rubber is touching the actual strut, the bit where you can pick the camber. Is there a modifaction needed or is it just a problem with the actual coilover? cheers
nah not exactly. I was interested in a straight swap but just to save you a bit of time id send mine straight to spray shack rather than to you. Im not sure on it but id imagine mine would be easier to spray as they havent been sticker bombed and therefore might be a lil cheaper for you to get...
like what you have done with your car! I got a deal for you :P I have bog standard Renault diamonds, you interested in doing a swap, i can send mine straight to spray shack for you and when he gets them and can confirm they are in good shape you send your stickerbombed ones to me? I can send...
Basically in need of a new horn and thought if im going to get a new one, I want to get a decent loud one and was wondering what people would recommend? Hear that stebel horns are meant to be good but they only seem to be for sale in OZ and im not up for paying £25+ on pp..
sorry kitson for jumping in on your thread but it seemed pointless to start a new one when this was already up and running :P

having a fast car now can help you later on when getting quotes cause if they see you've had a fast car previsouly and managed not to wrap it round a tree or worse a person it can reduce your premium. thats what ive read anyway. but for the sack of £200 go for it buddy
