£1000 to hire car plus fuel plus compulsory insurance £3-400 but has £2k excess. Also pay for damage etc not sure if that covers blown engines or gear boxes though.
I dunno Paul but £300 for 50 miles beats 6 miles at Harewood hill climb weekend. I know it will cost lots more in fuel tyres damage etc and no I don’t have deep pockets as looking at standard mk2 mx5 or just add safety gear to my mini.
I am looking at getting back into single venue rallies as my son wants to CoDrive but can’t seem to find any decent forums etc
Ive had a quote to hire an MX5 for events so just turn up and drive but I think by the time I’ve done 3 or so I could have my own car.
Anyone use any forums or is...
I do sprinting along with the odd hillclimb and am enjoying it at the moment, my 16 year old has show an interest so I am going to book him on an under 17 drivers club event to see how he gets on. I am kind of hoping to get him to co drive and then may return to rallying but like you say it’s...
Depends where you live and at the moment there is no spectators allowed at any event. Hopefully this will change soon but something to be aware of in case you just turn up only to be turned away.
I need some tyres for the MINI and fancy MPS4 as a road tyre and can be used as winter/wet track tyre ? Are they any good or would you recommend something else ? I presume Rainsports are good in the wet or cold but what are they like on a winter track if its dry ?
Cheers
Do you mind sharing how much to hire the transporter was ? This looks a lot better than a trailer and don’t have to run around in a big car to use to tow a trailer 8 times a year. Pm if you prefer.
Its a great circuit and have done a sprint there a few years back in similar condition. Who won your class and what time ? A friend of mine runs a 172 (ex @JohnnyE ) in this class.
I did a Javeline event at 3 sisters and tbh it was a breath of fresh air, no timing struts, approved overall gloves helmets etc which is ideal for someone wanting to have a go without all the MSA faff.
Dont get me wrong I still wore my overalls, gloves etc but some of this is overkill in the road...
Asking for a mate, basically he wants to change the head unit on his sons car but when he's tried to the tomtom sat nav doesn't work ? is the nav unit linked to the head unit in any way ?
Cheers
I watch his stuff but the £75k Mini he had on the other day he hardly mentioned what and where it had been spent and I thought he could have gone into more detail as it wasn’t a new car review
