I have been using a viper with a cold air feed, and have ordered this set up so I will be able to give my Input on the difference once I have mine set up! the thing with the viper will be the actual filter size, the surface area will be smaller so less air will get though? from what I understand...

correct me if I'm wrong anyone! this is what I have gathered from my research

no as fatty, and ktec have both found proven gains from this system! mainly due to the location of the filter! if the filter was located else where then gains would drop yes! for example this would make a lot of noise, but would suck up all the hot air from the engine heat

would removing the acoustic valve increase cold air flow though? I removed mine last night it only took 10 minutes!

it's just the metal where it had corroded a little, the owner had left the vehicle sat for months so needed some tlc! I have planned for a big break kit so I wire brushed them up and gave them a quick lick or paint for now untill I can find the money for a new set of brake callipers!

had nothing to do tonight and the previous owner who fitted the viper hadn't romoved the acoustic valve so I decided to get this done and free up some possible air flow! nice and easy to remove, followed some pictures from a post on a forum literally took 10 minutes!

not been up to much recently other than work! ordered some new sidelight bulbs and fitted them, love the transformation! just ordered some silvatec indicator bulbs so will be fitting them soon! new tires are coming for Christmas also! merry Christmas to me and the mrs (the clio)
