My Mrs got her iPhone last Friday, and she is getting the "no sim" fault intermitantly (sp?). She has phoned Orange 3 times now and is getting fobbed off with turn it off, charge it up, clean the sim car etc etc. The best was, turn the 3G off, if that works, problem solved. Well not quite, as...
Have TV's come down in price dramatically lately?
That seems extremely cheap.
It might be because I'm not really in touch with the prices, but seems cheap to me?
Arrived today, took me 10 minutes to install it. Bit of a flase start when I thought I'd fcuked it up, but had another look and realised I'd not pushed it in properly, sorted that and it's away.
Cheers for the comments all.
There's that one, and then there's another one, they both look the same, except one is powered and has a remote to manually switch it.
I'm presuming the boxes like those deliver much better performance than the basic splitters like these:
There is one for £25 at Maplins which has auto switch and manual switch.
If it is worth getting a slightly more expensive one, then I'll do that and not bother with one of the £10 ones and then have to buy a better one anyway.
Can anyone recomend a HDMI splitter?
It's only for in the bed room, so I don't want to spend huge amounts on it, but want to be able to run a PC and a DVD on HDMI if possible.
Will there be a huge loss in quality on the £5 type splitter, or will it be hard to notice unless you're looking for...
Cool - Thank you.
Awesome mate - thanks for the offer.
Ordered it today, so will get in later on next week and have a go.
Cheers for the help / comments everyone.
Can anyone recomend a programme to do this that does it from start to finish?
Or is there a decent guide soemwhere?
Finally got some more space, so I can put some programmes on my iPod for when I'm working away, so want to get my sopanos box set on there.
Any advice appreciated.
Your contract is with the people you bought the product from, not the manufacturer iirc.
It is up to them to get the problem solved, but you will still have the issue of being without a lap top, as if PC world are anything like Comet (same company iirc), the customer service is truly abysmal.
Lol, it's 5+ years old mate. I just don't want to shell out for a new lap top, so if I can make it last a little while longer, then I'm all good.
That does sound exactly how it is.
I'll probably have a blast at it and see what happens.
Cheers for all the replies.
Cool, well I'll probably get it ordered tomorrow and have a blast next week.
What's the worst that can happen???
I presume when you put the new RAM in, the lap top just boots up as normal? You don't have to install anything?
Cheers - It says the 2GB that SC03OTT linked.
It looks like a very simple job, but I'm a complete fat handed tw@t, so no doubt will balls it up doing it myself.
I've got an old Dell lap top which is painfully slow at even the most basic things, probably due to having a whopping 512MB RAM. So a couple of questions:
1 - Can these lap tops take up to 2GB's of RAM?
2 - How easy is it to insert new ram?
3 - Is anyone on CS based in / around Manchester...
Is there anyway to adjust the size of graphs on an excel sheet, so that they are exactly the same size. I don't mean just dragging to re-size, I mean are there properties somewhere?
I've got to produce a 2 page report, most of which is graphs, so want them all to fit on the page exactly the...
Yeah, we got Quidco with BT, well it's going through at the minute. £80, so all good. Pays for the increase in price over Talk Talk for 12 months of the 18 months contract.
If you phone up and whinge, they will offer you the upgrade to a faster line without the traffic management. Not sure if it will cost you anything.
I just couldn't put up with it, it was driving me insane. Wireless didn't work, so had to run a wied connection therough the house and then the...
Well, transfered over on Thursday. All went OK. No issues so far. Service has been strong and uninterupted, which is a huge step up from Talk Talk which dropped out every 20 minutes or so last week.
Speed below:
Not as fast as the 5.5 MBPS that they said on-line, but the fact is it's...
Yeah, when it goes through with BT, I'll begin the debate with Quidco. Hoping it will still go through as it was nothing to do with us it being cancelled.
I'm gonna give the 10GB a try, if it isn't enough, I'll upgrade it. TBH though, other than playing on YT a bit, I don't actually use the...
Cheers mate.
I'm a bit p1ssed off actually.
For some reason the order 'failed' when we did it on-line through Quidco. No one could give us an explanation as to why it failed, so someone set it up again, but we've lost the £80 through Quidco (presumably?).
Did the order on-line and it...
£80 quidco as well, so the change has paid for itself for 9 months.
Fingers crossed they get all the codes and what have you sorted now and it all goes without incident. I'm sure it won't.
