Right, I'll be getting to grips with a MBP after Christmas, so wondering if the good people of CS can help me out with a number of questions:
1 - I need to migrate my iTunes over. Now, is this just a case of setting iTunes up on the MBP with my account and transferring my files into the file...
Baller spec bundle of Ethernet cable on sub as well, ha. I don't even have an Ethernet port in the flat, lol. Should probably move that. Scruffy FTL.
Somehow managed to get a picture of my flat which doesn't contain cushions, which was an achievement in itself.
Very basic.
LG32LD350 - ZA
Onkyo HT-R380 AV Amp & 5.1 Onkyo speakers.
Very basi for the time being.
Awful picture I know.
Oh, and second telly on the wall, lol.
Common sense prevails.
Credit isn't bad. Bad credit is bad. Taking out loans @ 30%, not clearing interest charging credit cards at the end of the month etc is the issue with credit.
Oh, and thanks to everyone for their help.
Going to investigate the educational discount, and if not, will get it on the interest free.
Fcuking expensive week. Winter tyres getting fitted on Saturday and possibly a MBP. Easy way to drop £1500, lol.
How does the student ordering work?
I would rather pay upfront and save £300. Is it just a case of getting someone I trust who is connected to a university to order through their .ac.uk address?
How does it then work with apple care etc?
Dave63 - Any clues?
Yeah, that is one of the main drivers for me wanting a MBP tbh.
I can't see me moving away from iPhones and iPods, so seems logical to have a MBP that I can use seemlessly.
That and getting to go proper crash helmet full blown retarded with OSX and learn about something different.
No, I agree completely, and as I say, I doubt very much I would notice any of the above issues.
The people I am referring to are all design users of some sort.
I know what you're saying about the negative opinions being the only ones heard (except on here ;) ), it's the same as anything, you...
I know you only hear of issues, and obviously a lot more people are using Apple products in the last few years, so there are likely to be more issues.
I just hear it from a few places (outside of CS) from people who have used various Macs for 5+ years, that they are noticing a lot more issues...
I'm in almost exactly the same boat.
I want to annoyt the fcuk out of Revels, Tom, Munson etc when I got full Mac r****d.
The only thing that worries me is the number of issues that seem to be cropping up.
Re: 10% Interest Free @ Apple Store
And that sweeping statement is based on what exactly?
Why would you not take advantage of someone wishing to finance something for free?
