Just wondering if anybody knows where I can get my hands on Powerflex's Black Series inner and outer ARB bushes?
They list them on their website: http://www.powerflex.co.uk/black-series/products/Clio+II+%28inc+172+%26+182%29-426/1.html
But I can only find the regular purple Powerflex bushes on...
Not today, but over the weekend fitted a KTEC Supersport Stealth system, ripped out the heatshields as they were gopping and resting on the exhaust and also fitted some coilovers to the Ph1, as well as giving her a good clean!
Yours was really down on power though wasn't it? Like 150bhp?
A service and cambelt (providing the timing has been done correctly) could make a big difference.
Yeah, got rid of that old shed a couple of months ago and I've (eventually) got the Ph1 on the road! It was meant to be on the road for the Tipton RR day earlier in the year!
I'm traveling up to Merseyside on Friday to visit family, but I'll be bringing a KTEC Stealth back down with me ;)...
I agree with Dan. Helston to Cheddar would be a 3hr 20min drive, almost a 7 hour round trip.
It would be fair to have a meet closer to the SW, it may mean people from up North have to drive slightly further, but it still isn't gunna be a 7 hour round trip for them...
Why spend money on coilovers etc. when you are trying to save for a more powerful car that you're buying in a few months?
Return it to standard, it will sell more easily than if you drop it on coilovers.
These cars benifit more from handling modifications rather than engine power modifications. The better you get the handling the more speed you can carry through the corners and onto the straights.
If I were you the first thing I would consider is to renew all the bushes, track rod ends...
Too late now Fred, already ordered the cambelt and dephaser! Ordered for £212, still saved £101 compared to the price Pure Motorsport gave me, they wanted £313 for a Gates cambelt kit and the dephaser pulley, before fitting them.
BTW, it was me who phoned you yesterday about the PAS pump, still...
Assuming you missed out the two centre screws? Put them in. Will pull the spoiler towards the bootlid, giving more space between the roof and spoiler when the bootlid is open.
Fitted my old RB's cup spoiler to my Ph1 today.
Make sure the brake light wiring/connector socket is tucked into the recess in the spoiler. Make sure you screw the torx screws in all the way to ensure the spoiler is tight against the boot lid.
I understand that Gates supply their cambelts for Renault's genuine cambelt kits.
I can get a genuine cambelt from Renault Wolverhampton for £90.01 (free cam seals) or Pure Motorsport can supply a Gates cambelt kit for £132.
I spoke to my friend last night who said the Gates kits are the ones...
If you HAVE to buy this car then buy it, and keep it on your drive until you turn 21. It's only one month away by the time you pick the Clio up, I'm sure you could go without a car until then?
In the meantime, get quotes for November, they will be cheaper as you are getting them in advance...
That Arctic 182 is Dan,'s above. And it's not mint, some idiot fell asleep on the motorway on the opposite side as Dan, hit the central reservation and spewed car parts over the front end of his car!
Apart from that, it is pretty tidy ;)
Does improve the back end, still not a fan of the Campus' relocated licence plate though, just doesn't look right to me.
Nearly identical plates on the Clio and the BMW
