I didn't say the Renaultsport Megane would provide cheap motoring to be abused. I'm saying if he likes the RS Clio, perhaps he will enjoy the Megane too.
The OP says he sees the Clios as scrap, so maybe he might like a more "higher end" car like the Meg.
No differences between cup and non cup. I'm 99.9% sure.
G172 on here will know for sure, he's the man to ask about brakes!
Give him a PM, he's mega helpful!
The 4-2-1 mani flows better than the 4-1. I'm no expert, but look at how much twistier the 4-1 manifold's pipes are. The 182 manifold looks more direct, doesn't twist and turn as much, so the exhaust gases flow more freely.
Firstly, welcome to Cliosport.net!I started off in a 53 plate Pearl Black 1.4 16V Dynamique. Was a good little car!Personally, I wouldn't bother with trying to squeeze power out of the engine, it's a waste of time/money. Just make it look nice. Nice set of wheels, lower, colour code the...
Not yet drilled them out. Plan is to drill the bolt, and bore the bolt hole out a few mm, tap it and use new bolts. Obviously I won't be using the standard bolts as they would be to narrow in the bored out holes.
If I manage to drill the bolts out without damaging the threads then I can use...
Nice wheels, but they don't suit Clios IMO. Clios are curvy, Borbets look too angular. Would look good on a VAG motor.
Not a fan of Euro look Clios, but as long as you like it!
Also looks like it has a receeding hairline with that spoiler, needs a cup spoiler to finish it off.
I wouldn't worry too much about the tappety noise TBH. As long as the oil level is sufficient. It's probably the tappets working away. Remember, these aren't quiet engines.
But if you are really concerned about it, take the car to your nearest RS specialist. Where are you located?
2 out of 3 of the bolts sheared off when I was taking my rear exhaust mount off to replace the rubber insert with a Powerflex insert. Drilling them out is a possibility.
Full Fat reffers to a standard 182 (xenons, CC, half leather seats etc) which has been cup packed, with the stiffer springs/grey wheels and the cup spoiler/front splitter.
There is no such thing as a full fat cup. It's either a cup, or it's full fat.
edit: just looked at pics of your car on...
