Car's washed, fuelled and prepped and looking forward to the early morning meet. Mustn't forget my helmet and driving licence lol. See you Fletch and Chris at 5.15 then. :sleepy:
It's great to turn up at events and see the black CS Marquee and the flags. Much better than the old white one. Seeing the number and quality of cars as well does fill you with pride and everyone was on best behaviour. It was good to chill in the Marquee in the morning and the banter was as good...
Didn't bother taking any pics till later on due to weather in the morning. Here's a few of Clios and other marques. Other pics of Trax are available.

Don't know what you mean Dan!!!!
Nice pics Chris and cars are looking good. You missed out on Tom and Tim's who's got the quickest car discussion today. Will it be resolved at Combe ?
Tim I'll bring my helmet if there's still a chance of a passenger ride?
Dan I'm not looking forward to an early start either but hey ho I'm knackered from spending the last four hours cleaning my car, lol.
Good work Fletch and hope that the brake pad change goes well. Would offer to help but the Mrs is off this weekend and I'm only allowed out on Sunday for Trax
The paint was shot and quite a few panels need to be replaced. Tim will respray it next year. He is just wanting to get it going properly, put an MOT on it and drive it for a little while and then have the major spend next year on the complete Interior and exterior makeover. He's spending about...
Quick update following my break my son has been busy.
Scotched and primered:
The garden looks like a scrapyard again
Loads of bits have been ordered and he is currently working on getting the engine running right and sourcing bits like doors, a dash board a whole interior, two new...
Took a few pics yesterday was in the Grandstand at Abbey at the end of the International Pit Straight, so missed most of the action. Now realise what people say about how hard it is to take decent pictures at Silverstone.
Car of the day for me
The over run on the Meganes was...
Thank God I parked with the peasants then, although my brother moaned when we got ushered away as I didn't have an Infield Pass and one of the attendants told us to go through. Was a good day and saw some good Racing. Will post photos up tomorrow as still at my mum's in Cambridge.
Was at Sea Life with the grandchildren yesterdayand was pleased to hear that there was an Air Show taking place as part of the Carnival. Managed to get a few shots but now realise I need a better lens.
Some pics which have been modded in Flickr
As can be seen not brilliant but really...
Monday night the Beetle was delivered on a low loader. My son had managed to persuade his friend that he didn't have enough time for a project and convinced him that it needed to go to a good home. Some notes were exchanged which did not include an MOT and after waiting weeks to get rid of the...
Re: 197 Pro's and Con's
I've come from a 182 to my R27. Took me a year to even like the car. It just felt too grown up, smooth, better built and didn't handle like a go-kart like the 182 did. Once I began pushing it and went on a few runs with other Clios, found that I could keep up with them...
Had MOT booked this morning, changed brake light and usual checks done so fingers crossed all should be good. Went to collect car and sorry it's failed. The near side rear brake was binding. Guys in the garage stripped it down and found it to be brake pad stuck in caliper. Took it out and...
