Got an answer thanks. PCV breather valve 'O' rings. Just in case anyone else has the same issue.

My car makes this funny noise when it's cold. It's an odd sort of beep/mechanical scrape. It's quite clear to hear on the video below. Can anyone shed any light on what it might be please? It seems to go away when it's been running for about 10 mins. http://youtu.be/AhsDXtTnnvk

Yeah white spirit is fine. I use it as tar remover. I just polish the bits afterwards. You won't damage the paint as it's not very harsh at all. Whatever you do, don't use nail varnish remover as that will take the paint off! Only problem with Velcro is your plates might get stolen.

Looking good Dan. When you take your Plate off, use (your sister's) hairdryer to warm the plate sticky up, then use white spirit to get the sticky off. You can then use the hairdryer again to make the new pads really sticky when you re-apply it.

Thanks, yeah shame you couldn't make it. I'm really pleased with the results too. It's lost 0.1bhp since new and torque 'appears' to be more than it came out of the factory with! lol.
