Ah ok, I'm trusting Ste to do what he see's best, He know's what purpose I'll use the car and how I drive so building accordingly if that makes sense. I'll try and get more tomorrow, I tried to bribe them to do a load of build pics, but they're always busy.
Haha I'd be like a kid at Christmas for sure! I'm all smiles with a brew and a pack of biscuits, imagine me with boost! not sure I'd film it though just in case a bit of wee comes out ha!
Chi it would take me the best part of a day to get there in the stilo! very tempting offer though.
Oh it is, I'm already not sleeping now :( at this rate when it's done I'll be too shattered to drive it!! I wonder how much that differs to the GT25? Mine's being done at SC Auto's in Bolton...
Which turbo do you have? one thing you don't get from peoples videos is how it feels! I'm too excited haha!! I don't think I'll get a chance to have a ride in one and it's kind of too late as mines in the garage being turbo'd. fingers crossed to have it back next week. hence my hovering around...
I want as wide as possible without rubbing, and don't know what widths that would be yet. need to find out, was looking at the bolt to hub ones from dan@M.A.D
Will let you know what I find out :)
Yeh really excited to get the car back, just hope I've made the right decision.
Good :) Will keep an eye on this. Yeh will take a while to settle, should just about settle before you get the cooksports on, how did you get hold of them? they sell out like hot cakes!
Yep curbs are not our friends!! I keep looking at my splitter and it has marks over and I stay away from...
Such a shame to hear what happened, good to see you sticking with it though, and the plans look good to go with a already nice clean example. Wonder why your arch gap is so much? kind of a good job as the latest pic you would of removed your new splitter :P
Quick update: Running a few days late, but a few extra bits need ordering and still no Renault water pumps. Engine rebuild and box to go for refurb today.
I had it down as maybe there's been some fabric protection in the past.
My car just absorbs smells, not entirely a bad thing but would be nice to stay stripper sweet for a few days.
Hmmm where do you spray it? I've sprayed it on my seats, carpets, parcel shelf and in the boot. lasts if I spray it on a jumper...what can I say I like the smell haha.
It says the bottle can do 6-8 sets dependant on the size and seeing as you've done two coats and used 1/4 id say you've used the recommended amount. just check the full curing time as usually its a good few hours before applying a second coat.
Wax looks good, reminds me of a guy on instagram called son1cwax brew his own stuff. How long does your stripper scent last in your car? I find it only has a life of a few minutes in mine :(
As Dave mentions, I'd use a iron out remover, then something like eraser to remove the old wax /sealant. clean again with a ph neutral wheel cleaner say Juicy details mint wheel cleaner and re seal. once sealed you only need to use shampoo from then on.
Platinum wheels is brilliant...
Haha Yes I see what you mean, those were the days.... There's a BG 182 with purple wheels somewhere and it looks really good. so thought this would have a similar look, not sure what wheels would look best in this colour, just think the paint is something else.
As long as they last longer than the rainsport 2's I'd be happy, done less than 6000 and I'm replacing :race: Thanks I'm sold on the Yoko AD08's now then :)
Thanks guys, I narrowed it down to the Dunlop as they had the best grip and economy out of the road tyres, looked to be better than pilot sport 3's and the AD08R's as I was told Federal RSR's wet grip wasn't good and the R888's wouldn't last very long.
Thanks Ben and bloke, I'll go for the...
Hey
So I'm looking for two new front tyres and I'm torn between Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT and Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R, Obviously ones a road tyre and ones a semi slick, now my reason for looking at both types is I'll be turbo'd by the end of next week and I'd would like as much grip as...
