If you don't know any better, then yeah. I've had Ktec's on mine for nearly 2 years now and they've been fine. Handles well, looks great a bit lower, ride isn't amazing but like I said the handling is spot on for me. I drive around town and occasionally out in the country so I don't need a £1k+...
How common something is doesn't dictate how 'nice' something looks in my opinion.
Surely the standard 182 wheels are FAR more common as they came as standard and most people won't have changed them, so that argument is slightly invalid anyway.
Milltek and Scorpion RS192 are a good choice if you're looking for something with a little bit more noise, but not too overbearing. I went for a Milltek cat-back and removed the centre silencer to keep it legal but with a bit of extra noise, I'm still very pleased with my choice.
I've got Hankook V12s at the moment; whilst I'm the first to admit I know nothing about tires I have never been in a situation where I've felt I've lacked grip. They seem great to me, and they're a good price too.
