Today I got the Clio in on the ramp, and started stripping.

Yes you can. The kit comes with new pulleys, alternator mount, adjuster and belt. Saves 16kg. Can't really say about the performance, because I fitted mine at the same time I replaced my knackered dephaser, so the performance was rubbish before, anyway, but it does seem livelier!

You have made all the right set up moves, agree so far. As has been suggested, try a bit of toe out. I run 2mm toe out. Tyre imbalance as you are using different front and rears seems the only other possibility. If you find you cannot dial it out, and your own personal track driving style is...
