Thanks. Running a JDM stock engine with a TDO4 to start with , so should be somewhere around 280BHP on V Power, and 300ish on Carless. More later when funds allow!
Oil leaks! Oil leaks! We don't do oil leaks LOL. Black is the new silver, just like it!
Subarus are no less reliable than any other high performance car. Equally as reliable as an Evo, with far cheaper parts. The problem with Imprezas is the owners that don't drive them with sympathy and maintain them properly. Keeps us in business though :)
Looking at the pics,I reckon he has done the same as me, dropped a Clio with the floor and bulkhead cut out over an Impreza floorpan which has had the front and rear overhang cut off. The front bulkhead is certainly Impreza.
I know what you mean about the wrap, but it is there to hide all the dents in the roof. Looked awful in shiny white, looks a lot better in carbon :approve:
Been able to have a little dabble with things this morning. Installed the pedal box (great having been able to weld in the studs and nuts for it, easy job), and had a play with where the reservoir pipes are going to run. May have to be a bit inventive, as they are a little long.
The rear bottom bush (the one at the top of the photo) is offset, angling the entire bottom arm down towards the front, which reduces the tendency of the Scooby suspension to lift the front wheels on launch, reducing the grip from the front end. Good question!
Welded up a chassis trolley today,
Shell lifted on ramp to remove suspension,
Suspension removed,
And lowered onto trolley, ready for paint!
Lots of other bits being made pretty, more pictures to follow......
Waiting for the painter to fetch the shell next week. Excited or what! Been busy ordering poly bushes, drop links and Whiteline rear arms this week, so some photos of more car p**n early next week!
