Hi, just jacked up the front and put new discs snd pads on i then pur the spacer back on so i needed kt in gear to tighten against. My problem is when its in gear the pasdenger side wheel has no resistance so i started it up and put in gear to find driverside spins but the passenger sits still...
It's turned out to be either an air lock in the fuel pipe or old fuel but eventually she fired in to life she lives again thanks everyone for your help
I annoyingly have a new or same issue car won't fire, I found something is holding off the relays so I thought I would link them out at least to see of it runs. This does not work I have removed to the top to remove the plugs and I can see them.all spark I can also see spray from the injectors...
Ok found a loose bolt on top of the gearbox but close to the bulk head and I'm not talking about the big flat earth strap on the side. This strap was loose enough to move but looked tight, after tightening it up I turned the key and watched as that red immobiliser light distinguished whoop whoop...
I just tested all the relays and they work I manually wired up the fuel pump from the battery and it hummed so it works. I'm guessing the immobilized is holding it off is there anyway to bypass the immobiliser or reset it or anything?
Hi, my 172 FF I have just replaced the gear box but when I came to fire her up a year later nothing so I changed the battery as it was fucked so now she turns over. Next problem no fuel feeding the injectors as I disconnected it and I can't hear the pump prime. I cleaned the relay's (3 small...

Ah I have just spotted my tensioner mark was out so I just adjusted it but it became loose it seems I have cracked the thread so it won't tighten properly so need to get some threaded bar to replace it now maybe the clicking was the tensioner loosening off very strange as I never horsed it up
Well yeah I had the locking tool in and the cam horseshoe and the flywheel mark in line with 0 but my horseshoe cam lock is slightly bent and I mean slightly not enough in my opinion to be out on the dephaser by one tooth think it's just the cheaply manufactured
Hi everyone I have managed to change the belt but when manually turning the engine over I hear a faint tick I'm not sure if it's normal or there before but I don't want to go to the effort of putting it back in the car only to fine I have to take it out again can anyone help with this cheers
Hi all just spotted this on eBay 161784095110 how can you tell if it's real or any good just been quoted 185 from renault seems legit to me buts it's half the price
Yea that worked lol cheers you are being such a good help I was going to drill a new hole for it and bolt together lol but it's way too long as it leaves a big gap as in picture think I'm going to return it and get a better one
Ok where should the line be either linked email in view and camshaft lock in place the fly wheel bolt next to the dip stick won't go in fully will try the spare plug way as soon as I find the right socket
I see the hole and the marks on the housing but span the whole thing I could not see what was supposed to be lining up on the fly wheel it was early this morning when I looked maybe I was tired and it was obvious
My pin is in the hole next to the dip stick but not sure about the flywheel timing mark it does not mention that on the guide it just says turn over engine till pin fits in crank and cam shafts are somewhere near horizontal so that the cam tool will slot in but mine won't obviously as not lined up
