First thing Im going to say before becoming a member .... Paragraphs, The console will just lift out buddy, just never use the front cup holders, they fit nothing and when you go round a corner (if you have a drink) the drink will go through the ash tray, and guess what is below the ashtray...

Forgot to mention, before you try all of this if you can verify you don't experience any of the problems and just get the light on the dash, to be fair you have nothing to loose, it might be worth just disconnecting the battery from the car for 30 mins or so to see if this clears out the error...
