They are the same, Apart from the sports have a 12mm bolt hole and non sports a 10mm bolt hole set up for the ball joint. This ebay link has them both, Inc new ball joint and new pinch bolt...

Old thread i know. I have knocking and im at the stage of thinking its the drive shaft as it as Very minor play back and forth. Now my inner Tie rods dont hold any position, they flop about and the like. So they busted then?

I think its now the drive shaft, I noticed when turning a wheel the steering wheel would move inside and stop with a klunk at locking point lol. I can diggle the drive shaft and it makes a knocking noise, could this make this noise when turning?

Did it do it each time you moves the wheel when stationary? Would make perfect sense if they were loose as when the wheel is turned the bolt would move in its place slightly. Will check them at lunch!

Does insurance actually cover this sort if thing? In my mind the word insurance is just that, Insurance against anything going badly wrong.

I suppose it depends on how much it's cost for repair vs his. Premium and what extra next year's premium would be.

When i see people Pressure washing their engine i have to cringe. All the cars electrics are in there and are NOT waterproof. if you want to clean it then get a brush and some engine degreaser and be gentle and avoid the electrics.

God knows why people remove the ac... I would much rather have AC and 2 bhp less.
