Okay, so I just went outside and had a look. Popped the top piece of plastic off and it's connected my 3 poppers. I lined the inside edges with a tiny bit of felt and slotted it back into the bottom part. It seems to have worked so far :) I think it was the plastic rubbing against the metal...

In some people's cases though. It's all about the fast food car park 'scene' :(
