I've saved 10kg from each door by removing the window motors inner door skins and bracing and changing from glass to plastic! I was very pleased with that weight saving!

Have been really busy recently so i havnt been able to really do much on the car, but this evening i fitted my passenger side window. I really struggled to decide where to screw the self tappers into.
I first slotted the window in through the top of the door for a trial fit...

If the fuel pump is running and I start to turn the engine over then as long as the ecu (omex 600) is connected to power will the engine start?

Good choice in on the brake pads. They will out last you discs 3 times over which is a bit of a pain but for the braking performance i think thats worth it.
Cant remember if you have run R888's before on the Saxhoe, but...
Just put the project on hold if you can afford it atm. As long as your new place (if you move) had off the road parking for 1 then just park it up for a few months and sort yourself out.

Such a great car. Your going down the same route I have with using the same brackets and removing pas ect
I would say bin all the engine bay rubbish and start again!
Such a shame the big end has gone. Strange piece of silicon or something!
Now the engine is out you can degrease the engine bay and make it look nice and tidy :)
With the wiper motor for example do you have a wire going from the + battery, to a small fusebox with an appropiate fuse then a wire going to the on/off switch, then to the actual wiper motor and then another wire goes to an earth?
Is that the correct way to wire up that type of part?
