Would people change the dogbone mount to poweflex? I see there are some on ebay by a company called evol engineering who make their own, what are those like?
My other half dropped hers in the bath last week and it messed up straight away. She left it in a tub of rice overnight and it now works like normal again
Whats the situation with the ones being sold on ebay with the yellow in them? Are they better than the powerflex or would people stick with a standard renault when replacing?
Thanks chip,
difference between track rods and track rod ends? Do you mean mounts/bushes replacing or are these actual whole units?
Also a little confused by ARB, anti roll bar? If so then like above are you suggesting replacing a mount/bush on the ARB or would this again be a whole unit?

Evening all,
at some point during this year i plan on changing the mounts but I'm unsure how many there actually are and what would be normal to replace.
What is it that people generally re new?
I would only want to replace with standard parts....
Engine mount?
gearbox mount?
Dogbone...
Matt e that is very nice. If not keeping standard thats how it should be done. There are some horrendous looking bays, anything chrome is tack along with bright colours imo. Standard/ subtle oem+ only
Update- first of 2014.
There is a small chip above my door on the driver side, i have never been sure where it actually came from/what caused it but it has irritated me for some time now.

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?727731-Rear-brakes-jamming-when-pulling-away-1-2
This has happened, can anyone confirm if this will be related to the work done at the garage?
thanks
I thought it was in the centre of Newcastle, looked similar to where I had my belts done.
Clio looks fantastic btw, would like to see this when its all done.
Cheers fellas good to know. Tbh its the garage i have been using for years with my 182 for all general work and they are always great with me.
They still have the car now as i didn't take it till quite late and they rang me after having a look at first, then explained what needs doing, what the...
Do you know if a bearing could also cause the problem? I have a feeling a bearing may be gone because i have heard a squeling kind of noise when the window has been down.
Problem happened again today and was worse, felt as though it was dragging.
Im back at work now too so think booking it in the garage is the eat option as i dont have a clue what i would be doing myself
Morning all,
The 1.2 clio we have seems to have a problem that has only started the past few days. When pulling away for the first time off the drive on the morning the rear wheels/brakes seem to be jammed on. When pulling away it feels as though the rear of the car lifts up, you can then hear...
Wheels, stickers, mud flaps and exhaust are horrendous. Take them off, put standard wheels on it and a fresh set of plain standard number plates and you will have a clean looking clio.
