As per title I am curious as to what injectors the turbo 172 boys are using with there setup's as I believe the standard injectors are only good for flowing around 208hp and I plan to run a fair bit more than this.

5pk 825 Alt Belt now properly on Started putting it all back together Sprayed the inlet plenium / manifold up and polished the text up (Not the best spray job)

Well have measured the belt I require and I can just get away with an 825 - 830 mm belt. Been down to halfords as only place open was unable to get a 6pk825 belt but manage to get a 5 pk 825 version which should be fine no 830's available. More pics to follow

With ref to the Zinc part the number you quoted it took 5 days to arrive as it was on back order but everything else i got next day. But if you go down the scrappies you may be able to do it alo cheaper than going direct to renault matey.

The brackets are off an R5 GTX but when I was down the scrappie yesterday I noticed the Volvo 480 / 440's used some of the same brackets (typical i had purchased these from Renault before i found out), but then it does use a renault F series engine The other bracket is off a Renault 5 GTX part...

As you can see from the pic standard 172 alt is being used with 2 different brackets on the block and the zinc 1 you can see. Obviously the the 6pk850 belt is to big.

I have got it all on I will get some pics up later just need to get a smaller alt belt as the 6pk 850 belt I picked up is to big. Looks like I am going to need a piece of string to work out the length required.

well got the gtx alternator brackets on put the 6pk850 belt on but is not tight enough going to get some string and see the length required and get another belt

I am using the standard 172 alternator I will get some pics up over the next couple of days fitted

Modified 172 Exhaust manifold and GTT downpipe 172 Lump stripped of PAS, Air con etc.. Plenium removed for cleaning and spraying R% GTX front mount and plate R5 GTX Alt mount Phase 1 Loom

Not even got the pedal attached yet looks like I may be modifing the original GTT cable.

No offense taken matey, I am fairly techincal minded I have re-built many a R5 GTT but my knowledge of 172 is novice but handy with spanner LOL. Yes when putting the cable on I am fully opening the throttle butterfly so but it is getting stopped by the pedal attachment. And it does not spring...

It's as far in as it will go not even put the circlip on yet

I am not to sure it would fit in the clio bay as the 21t engine sits in a totally different position and there will be alot of work involved. Just try and get hold of a complete 225 turbo lump matey they occasionally turn up on fleabay for good money.

If your going to go down the route of the Volvo 1.7 turbo it is cheap enough to buy a whole turbo 440 or 480 car and that way you will have everything you need loom, ecu, pipes, etc. I know a bloke on RTOC who is selling a 480 turbo think the turbo has gone but the rest of the engine is fine or...
