    I am runnung a phase 2 engine but converted to run phase 1 cable throttle body, etc.. The pulleys I replaced them with where exactly the same I wish I had kept the old ones now I just chucked them away :(

    When you say spin is it supposed to spin when the cam belt is all tightend up?? I am thinking I have used the incorrect spacer and bolt these are the only parts I also didn't replace with new:(

    Well not much of an update as needing to sort the cam timing out, just forgot to mention no longer using the alloy Volvo alloy fuel rail due to now using the small stanrard 172 standard injectors and my modified phase 2 rail for an external FPR.

    Yeah the tensioner has come untensined and so when the car revs it doesn't sound to good on the inlet cam side so think best to re time it up.

    Found that the phase 1 172 loom had a split in the earth wire repaired it and then turned the key and she fired straight up only prob now is that the cam tensioner has come loose. Anyone got the cam timing tools for hire or local to borrow?

    I thought that also with the ECU so am sending it away next week to be tested on another 172 conversion that requires a de-mobilised ECU to be used.
