IIRC They were looking for a one make race series to replace the spider championship, and as the clio was a new model they decided to use that to promote it so to speak.
There was so much positive reaction to the V6 Trophy that they made a production version.
I paid £15500 for mine 3 years ago, it's done 2800 since and I wouldn't sell it for less than £18500 now, and that's if I was advertising it which I'm not. If someone came along specifically wanting to buy my car he'd better start with a 2....
I still think the Gold 5S is one of the nicest looking bits of tech in recent times. The new one will have to be massively different which I doubt it will be, to tempt me to change early. And I also don't want anything bigger.
Not a turini in sight!
Also not really a fan of anything there, isn't the corvette ZR1 the one with the Perspex centre in the bonnet that's rediculousky fast?
That does appear to be just bad timing.
Also is it just me, but I'm a bit of a lamborghini and aventador fan.. Although it seems in London there is so damn many of them you may as well buy a corsa???? Seriously there must be hundreds. Kind of removes some of the appeal of the car tbh
LOL, I wonder if good old CWC is still going? That Jayne that organised everything was a bit odd really, looked like a school teacher but organised cruises!
Nah after this I went straight to clio land with my 172 cup and then onto V6's
