The cold air feed needs to have as little bend / direction changing in it as possible otherwise air cannot efficiently whoosh its way into filter. Either remove it all together or disconnect & leave at the mouth of the viper.

My 172 pull's away from 0-10mph quite sluggishly due to the inertia of my 18's, but after that it picks up like a mo-fo to 60. I reckon quite a few lesser powered / spec'd cars can pull away from a stand still quicker than me..... but they would soon...
