Going to have to bail on this one folks which is a shame. Got to be at a 30th I totally forgot about!
Hopefully we'll have a NW meet sometime soon and I can meet some of the more local renaultsports.
Thanks for you reply.
But my question is more has anyone run these size tyres on a Clio without major issue? my cars is on standard shocks and eibach springs.
I completely understand the points you have made and they are very valid but I am not a racer looking to optimise everything for the...
Is anyone running 195/55 on their 15s?
just getting a set of TD 1.2s refurbished at moment and looking for some proper dry weather tyres.
seen some A048Rs for a good price but they are 195/55/15 and most people seem to mention 195/50 on 15s?
Cheers.
Well its just under 100miles from Birch to Blyton.
Gates open from 8am so don't know if folks want to aim for getting there around then or a little later?
Happy to do something like meet at Birch services between around 6am with aim to leave around 6:30 then head up to Blyton for a little...
Anyone from the NW going just for the Saturday only?
thinking of getting a ticket and wondered if anyone else was going.
Could look to convoy over?
Andy
Crakcing day yesterday lads, nice speaking with the folks I drove up to Newby Hall with. Sorry i didn't catch any more folks.
All our cars were looking splendid though representing the Frenchies well. Nice photos @Tobz_mw
Some of the cars that turned up were just awesome, the XJ220 and that...
you can log into CITP website, go to my details and update Group to Renaultsportclub.co.uk.
This won't affect your ticket if already printed as that only state Reg plate and Car Type but not club

Still showing 4 Clios listed under Cliosport.net, just hoping he's not updated the site and just waiting for final numbers before issuing the parking plans.
If we say arrive at the services for around 9am, as arrival for display cars starts at 9am with public entry from 11am.
that should allow plenty of time I reckon.
Thats sound a more appropriate location, morning coffee and/or snacks!
Would just need to sort a time, the services appear bout 20mins away from Newby Hall
Just under 2hrs for me, if I took M62/A1 rather than backroad Boroughbridge wouldn't be a bad shout for a meeting point as guessing most of the roads leading up to Newby Hall will be narrrower without lay-bys.
Seen the pics of the M1 on facebook yesterday, really looking forward to whats going...
Think I'll be aiming to get across for around 9... heading across A/B-Roads from North Manchester ... she maybe be a little dirty when she arrives!
Reckon if we switch to Renaultsport to increase numbers in the group it increases chance of being put nearer the main area ... where you'll know if we're just a handful of clio we'll be tucked away somewhere.
Is there any plans to meet up outside to head in together?
I registered under cliosport.net, but on ticket it just references the car as in : Renaultsport > Clio.
I'd be happy to change group if it bunches more of us together, it does say on there website if groups can arrive togeteher or a similar time I think.
Read about this yesterday evening and registered on the site thinking I'll get a ticket sorted today or tomorrow, registered club as cliosport.net.
If the weathers looking good it'll be a good little drive over from Lancashire.
Yeah very quiet which was a plus for first timers on track or people learning a new car like myself.... but as has been mentioned hopefully more a sign of the time of year rather than dwindling numbers!
Got an Artic Blue on anthracite turinis, which when my RSRs need replacing i think i'm going to get powdercoated.
Had some Enkies for my previous evo done in a matte bronze colour and never got to fit them but loved the way they looked, thinking I may re-do the colour again for the clio, will...
