Few more bits ordered that I had overlooked, oil catch tank, aerocatches, tow straps plus all the wiring bits/fittings for the cut off switches, certainly adding up! Currently collating a price list of everything that I've got/is required to go racing, pretty darn surprising how much stuff there...
As I've just text you lol, yeah it's all okay! Just need to get the car booked in somewhere to have the rest of the bits and pieces sorted as works taking most of my time now as its getting busy!
Car will be road legal from tomorrow also, which reminds me, I need to check it still has MOT. Lol
Cheers bbz! X
I thought I looked pretty damn epic in it if I do say so myself! ;)
Luckily they came out!
Good news is I've passed my medical, so onto booking an ARDs exam ASAP!
What makes me laugh about this thread is the OP's adamant about having it lowered 60mm, which is super low on these. This in turn with any coilover on the road WILL make it handle worse than a standard road car.
The two coilover units I'd go with if I had to though are Bilsteins and FK...
Mk3 RS fuel consumption is appalling, fact.
What's funny is my 3.2 M3 with 4 people and luggage, sat at 85mph returned over 34mpg. And would destroy the majority of cars talked about in here...
Nope, not a requirement in MSA for next year as yet. So would rather get as much use with the gear I have before having to upgrade, as its a reasonable expense!
Loughborough? That's bloody miles away! I've got a window of time to do it, from the 20th of this month to the 29th. Then the 10th of October to 20th, all because of a bloody works training course!
Right medical booked for the 19th, looking at ARDs locations I was planning on doing Brands Hatch or Silverstone. However Silverstone don't have anything on apart from tomorrow and Brands until the 15th of October, 5 days before the race. Which means I'll be booking the Donnington race before...
Advise not to use the car until you take it back to the tyre fitters to have it checked. The condition of the interior sidewall may well be worse than the exterior damage due to compression chafing / run flat damage. If enough damage has been caused within the '100 metres' that's been driven its...
Lol!
That time goes quickly Pete! I'll need to of done my ARDS in a couple of weeks and then sign on for the race, if I leave it too late there may not be any spaces left! Likewise I don't want to pay and not make it through time and money.
We'll see, if anyone knows how to wire and fit the...
Another bit of an update, got the car back onto four wheels with the suspension all fitted. Camber bolts fitted and set to the max they can do, they looked to of given me near the same as it had previous on coilovers which is a bonus.
Did plan to remove the front part of the cage and...
