I've noticed the 1.4 seems to cost a lot less than the 1.6/2.0. This may change by the time I actually come to buy, but do you think the 1.4 will be too slow for me? I want something that's fairly nippy.
I like the leather, just not sure on the beige lol.
Just out of interest, what are the options for lowering the clio without compromising too much ride comfort (something i'm looking forward to compared to my punto lol)?
Well, put it this way. I'm 20. I have no kids, and I rarely have more than 2/3 people in the car.
The Dynamique S is the top of the range for 3 doors, the Initiale is the top of the range for the 5's.
The Initiale comes with leather and auto climate, cruise control etc etc. It also has a beige...
Hi guys. I'm in the market for a Clio III 1.6/2.0 (non-sport) and was wondering which version you'd personally get?
a) Dynamique S 3-door.
b) Initiale 5-door.
I ask, because the 3 door looks great but doesn't come with as much equipment as the Initiale. But I think the 5 door looks...
I know it's not really something you take into consideration when lowering your car but what is the ride comfort compared to standard and lowering springs? Cheers.
Tbh. I just want something quiet and comfortable. Which is why I wanted the 1.6 performance isn't too much of a bother. It's a damn sight more powerful then what I've got now lol.
Insurance is a problem for the 197. I'm only 20. Hence why im not getting a 182 either. I prefer the design of the newer car, but people are telling me that the fuel economy on them is crap. It surely can't be that bad?
Aslong as i get above 35 mpg im not too concerned. It looks as though the 1.6 could be more powerful though, and also I will probably put an induction kit and a map on it. I've also heard the TCE is very limited due to it's injectors. Is the mk3 1.6 really that bad on fuel? Surely not?
Because I personally dislike diesel, and have no real need for it. I only do short sub 5 mile trips usually. The 1.6 should give me decent performance with good mpg and insurance rates. I love petrol.
Also, I've had a look on ebay, but can't find anything. They are all for the older models. If...
Hi people, i'm looking for a brochure on the mk3 ph1. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one?
Basically I want to buy a 1.6vvt but would like to compare the optional extra's to what the used cars have. Does anyone have a copy of the brochure lying around that could scan in the option...
I'm just after some more performance really. I hear that the clios are very good for road/wind noise. Is this true? And id like to stick with petrol as I only do short journeys atm.
Hey people.
I currently own a Fiat Punto which is very slow and uncomfortable.
I'm thinking of buying a 2007 1.6 VVT Dynamique S in a couple of months. I can't get insured on a 197 just yet. Only looking to spend around £5.5k.
What do people think of this engine? Does it have many...
Thanks :)
I think I will stick with this. It's either this or a 206 1.6 with the same power but slightly better mpg and tax.
Are the lights interchangeable?
Cripple.
Bear in mind thats from a 1.4 not a 2.0.
And I meant performance wise. Not styling, but thanks anyway.
And I have no idea what an RS is or Silvervisions.
I will not be getting an RS. I am 18, and am quite happy with getting the 1.6. It's going to be shed loads faster than my current car...
Well, parkers recons the power increase isn't worth it.
I think it will be. What sort of power could I be getting out of the 1.6 and with what mods?
Modding a Punto's engine is easy. Standard 1.4 16v is 98hp. Add GSR, Remap, and Cat back SS exhaust and you would have 135.
What stuff would you...
Hey, my name is Eliot, and i'm looking to get a Clio 1.6 over the next few months. (I take it you accept people here that have less than a 2 litre :P)
I currently own a Fiat Punto mk2b '53 1.2 8v (slowwww) and want to get something much quicker. Ive had many people telling me that there is no...
