Polishes won't be colour-specific. If you want a good non-abrasive polish to apply by hand I'd recommend AutoGlym SRP, Poorboys Blackhole (glaze with fillers) or Auto Finesse Tripple (all-in-one product).

I've gone back to 6 for the time being. Got to say, 7 really does feel so much slicker than 6 when you revert back. However (as you would expect...) it's just not reliable enough for me to use regularly yet. Still, looking forward to seeing it all finished and polished in the Autumn. Hopefully...

Yeah I found its curing time REALLY short for an oily wax. In the end I was doing about a quarter of my roof/bonnet at a time and just one smaller panel. Pleased with the results though and probably have enough of Gally's sample left to do the car another 4/5 times.

I used Bouncers Capture the Rapture yesterday on mine and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Nice and glossy but it really does get the flake popping in sunlight:

Oh definitely, nothing wrong at all but I'd say use them as disposable ones / a couple if uses. The Megs ones last and last if cared for.

They'll do the job but I've found there's little point keeping them. Even when washed and dried, they seem to flatten quite a bit.

I'd always recommend getting decent ones. The eBay jobbies are generally thin and break apart too easily.

I love it so far. Little things like the background moving behind icons when you tilt are really nice - quite androidy maybe but cool all the same.

If you have no detergent then what is actually washing the cloths? Just the heat of the water? I always use half a cap of non-bio on a hand wash setting. I air dry them as I hate funky damp smells.

Is there any benefit at all to using both Tripple and Blackhole? I'd imagine they'll both render the previous step pointless?
