all my praising of apple, my iPhone 6s has died spectacularly. it did show on iTunes when it died initially and allowed me to do a full restore which I hoped would sort it, it didn't and now it won't even show up on iTunes. gutted.
I always thought the second cat could be removed and the emissions would stay the same due to the larger front cat. I'd be tempted to have both second cat and silencer chopped out and say you removed the silencer. If it passes the emissions they won't be any the wiser.
I had an is200 for a short while. It was a 1999 se model and surprisingly for 153000 miles everything worked. Loved it but it drank petrol like an alcoholic.
I fitted a k&n too and it spindled a bit better.
Hi and welcome.
Car looks good and some good mods done. Can't go wrong with the fabia splitter, but not sure about the rear.
Def need a new hanger for exhaust and some black tabs for the front bumper.
just be careful, on my last 172 one side was genuine and didn't need a compressor but the other side wasn't original or a sport spring, so flew off. luckily I noticed and put it against the bin. health and safety taught well!!
but to echo everyone else advice, on a standard 172 you will not...
Awesome little car, it looks so fresh! Plans sound great.
Lol at the cost of the sport grille. I’m sure the price has yoyo’d in the years since I bought one from Renault for my 1.2.
I paid £6 for my bracket from amazon. It’s a plate that screws to the wall and then hooks fit to the tv. Holds my 55” led solidly to the wall.
For fitting to the wall it’s mounted on plastic plasterboard screwplugs. Had my last tv fitted like that for 5 years and never an issue.
Wow the result of all your work is amazing. It looks like a brand new car. Fate getting your car back as has been said. I’d love the chance to have my 182 back, it’s one of only two cars I regret selling.
Wow that was posh! I had 2 lessons in a corsa 1.2 so swore I’d never own one. My first new(ish) car was a Clio 1.2 16v such was the hate for the corsa. Lol
Awesome car this is. Did I read right, your going to teach people to drive in this??
Why didn’t we have anything like this back when I was learning? I learnt to drive in a 1.25 fiesta.
Yeah, common. I managed to fix one at work on the car park in a lunch break so not hard at all, did get some looks though being upside down in the drivers seat though. Ha. For a free fix it would be worth a look anyway. Are you replacing the sensor due to a buzzing noise? If so they all do it I...
It could be the cog on the motor has broken. This has happened on two of the three Clio 172/182’s I’ve owned and this fix has solved it. It’s a pain to get to but generally easy to fix.
If you scroll down this link you’ll see the pictures of how to sort it with a small cable tie or similar and...
No pictures but my first car was a mini 998cc city on a C reg.
Purchased in the dark and wasn’t perfect but god I loved it. Went to mini in the park in oxford and back and never had so much fun! Straight away fitted minilites, new plates and a speedo/rev counter from a cooper. Amazingly the...
WOW!! I never got to see it before but that looks minty fresh!
Brilliant read this has been, and so warming to see that Cs still has members who will look after each other.
Enjoy it dave!!
Great work and super nice gesture @HMS Derv Destroyer. Really does go to show how amazing this place is really, much more than just a car forum, it’s occupied by real, caring, helpful people.
I’ve driven one and absolutely loved it! The gearbox is definitely great to use, the car felt tight and handled really well I thought. If only I was in the market for a new car I’d snap one up without a doubt.
I like tiff, as above felt the Plato/Needell team was good.
Just despised the fact that every car he drove had to slide around a corner, even a diesel hatch!
Welcome from an ex PB owner. I regret selling mine to this day and would have it back in a heart beat. Such an amazing colour and love how it divides opinion.
Look forward to your thread and photos.
