I've been having a few issues with the car starting. Within the last 4months its had new plugs, ht leads, coilpack, battery (not all at once), the car turns over but refuses to start. If I lock car (key), put alarm on (separate fob), disarm alarm, itll start. So my thinking is its possibly an...
I have one of the Prima racing exhaust mounts on my car. Worth buying imo, some one here have had them where the movement of the exhaust elongates the holes, but I've had no issues with mine (apart from when the metal body felt apart after winter, but was replaced for free)
Changed the VVT seal at the weekend. Cleaned the cam cover up whilst at it. There is now a small amount of oil there again (near the second from left branch of the inlet manifold.
Where is this going to be coming from? Is there a gasket on the breather plate that sits under the inlet mani?

How have you gone about wiring in the fan override? I was looking at slimline fans the other day and thought it would be ideal to have an override

Bad times. I've read good things about the nord lock washers. We used them on a project at work, no complaints yet.

Just wanted to make sure this small amount of oil that seems to collect around plug #1/the oil cap is from the VVT sensor. Not a lot of oil, just a PITA and a little bit of a mess

Spotted a patch on the floor at work, popped my head under the bonnet and saw a nice greasy mess. Seem to be stemming from around the sensor (image below)
This a common problem that others have?
Any help on possible solutions?

Ive just had the top section flocked for now, the bottom will be done at some point. Only downside to it is, the first few times you put the blowers on all the loose bits go in your face
Silver, with black cage. Rolling on standard 172 alloys at the moment. The f1's can't go on yet, can't get on my driveway with them on haha
getting your dash flocked? I had mine done, makes a massive difference!
